Hi all,

i ordered a collectors edition and gamers edition of the 40k 5th ed rulebook at the end of May.

These cost me 60 each, which was fine.

I was trying to mull my way around the new UK website, looking for the delivery date of the new books etc.

i noticed that the price was 90, i assumed i was on the US site by mistake as the website design was different and it was actually $90 i saw.

I checked again,....nope..definately 90.

How can GW justify a 30 increase in less than a montht for something that wasn't even on sale yet.

As the money has come out of my Credit card account on the day of ordering i can but assume i will not get charged an extra 60 for the books, if that is the case i will be phoning GW to cancel the order and demanding my money back as no info was given that the cost would increase.

Doeas anyone know if the price i paid for the books will remain valid even after this increase?

I also noticed that the standard rulebook is also 50..a 20 increase over the price a month ago.

this is where i got the info

If it is the US site, why are all the prices in store section in UK pounds?

AS i went to the older UK online store bit and it says 60 there??

probably a glitch in the software. my guess is that it gave the price in $ but forgot somehow to change the currency symbol

I suspect it may be appearing as dollars to users whose IP address is in the US and pounds to those of us in the UK or something - I think its a cock-up with their language settings or similar.

its coming up as dollars at some times and pounds at other's?
and @ Blongbling, the site had pounds on the prices after a ihad navigated through a few pages, not just the first screen, the icon at the bottom showed the UK flag giving the impression that this was the UK site, and the phone number at the top was a UK style one, if you clicked to the US website that number changed to an 1-800 number.

However it seems its all just a programming glitch, but still, am happier its not that much more expensive.

Presumably the UK section is about to go live and someone clicked the wrong button on something.

Even if it did change, they couldn't have charged you the 90 - but they could have refunded the 60 and cancelled the order.
