Ok so I just finished Words of Blood (let the galaxy burn) and 4rt is was awesome, really glad I bought LTGB.

My only confection is the character “Manskinner”. I can only assume it’s the Bloodthirster but I’m throne off by the description of one of his arms…

Help me out..?

He's a Khorne worshiper with a power-lifter for an arm. This means one of two likely things...one, a pronged servo-arm like you see on the backs of techmarines...two, an arm off of this thing (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/sentpl.htm). As far as I know, he only shows up in the one story.

He's just a human cultist, paticularly charismatic, devoted to Khorne and presumably with a few minor blessings from the Blood God. As well as the hydralic industrial claw for one arm. The story was first published in an earlier Short Story compilation also called 'Words of Blood' and had a picture of the Manskinner and BT Captain featured in the story on the cover.

Edit: Here (http://www.blacklibrary.com/product.asp?prod=60100199008&type=Book) is the book cover in question.

its strange that they’d only mention the manskinner in this one novel for the 1st time through, I mean after all he was the blood gods grand champion...

Muahahaha....he was a jumped up cultist who managed to avoid getting squished by the God-Emperor's justice for a bit longer than usual. Hardly a 'grand champion' ;)

It may have just been a meaningless title he gave himself to satisfy his own ego, or something of the sort. Or perhaps the Manskinner might have been Khorne's 'Grant Champion' of that world/sector in paticular. But he wasn't, for example...possessed by Khorne's right-hand bloodthirster, or whatever.
