There was an interesting announcement on June 27th regarding Fantasy Flight Games' 54mm Collectible Miniatures Game, Mutant Chronicles (http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/mutant-chronicles/).

The announcement (http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/mutant-chronicles/media/pr-2008-mc-format-change.pdf) (PDF) states that "... [Fantasy Flight] will be releasing all product in the Mutant Chronicles Collectible Miniatures Game in a non-random window box format...". In short, the CMG is no longer a CMG, so here's to getting the models you want for games of Inquisitor!

Game On!

Not overly impressed with the quality of the models, but I'll reserve judgement until I see the prices for them. Also, I'll be curious to see what plastic they're made of. If it's the same stuff as the WizKids HeroClix models, then I'll not be terribly interested, as that stuff holds detail really badly (comparing original greens from WizKids with the finished model makes me cry...).

For the moment, I still expect to give more of my business to the historical manufacturers, like Andrea and Pegaso (via Historex Agents, here in the UK), but I'll certainly check out MC with interest - more so if they retail on this side of the pond, too.

I was also looking at the WoW figures.

They are 40mm, but I wonder if some of them might not be good for parting out. There are a lot of "tall" figures in the game, and a lot are over the 54mm (The 360 view of the figures has a hight measurement on it)
