I thought long and hard about the colour scheme I wanted for my Infinity Nomads. I wanted something unusual, something striking and a clear change of pace from my 40k stuff.

Besides, I wanted to try new colours. So pink and orange were chosen. I knew that I needed something to give contrast, so dark blue sounded good being opposite from orange and all. Besides that, I decided on neutral grey for weapons and white for helmets to not to overwhelm the minis.

So, first we have a basic Alguacile. Basically a test of the colour scheme. Very fun to paint, though!

Second is an Intruder. This guy was somehow much harder to paint and I'm not quite as happy with the end result. Still, more minis need painting, so onwards to the breach!

As for the bases, I still need to stuff them a bit to smooth out things before painting. As for colours, I decided on a reddish, rusty brown.

Hey good stuff, really great to see some of these great minis recieving a lick of paint, and in such an unusual and striking scheme too.

Keep it up, can't wait to see more.

Cheers

They look pretty cool Math Mathonwy. I like the bright paint scheme and the dark blue does contrast very nicely with the orange and pink.

Intriguing...Nice models! I'm curious how they would look like in a darker scheme though...

I've seen some fantastic nomads in real dark, black ops sort of scheme.

But, update time:

I finished painting the Alguacile girl. She was somehow kinda slow to paint, but a lot of fun. Especially the main colours, orange and pink, seemed to really flow just where I wanted with minimum hassle. Besides, it's always more fun to highlight female crotches with pink than male ones... :p

The base is still white, though. I'm having too much fun painting these to worry about bases. I guess I'll paint at least one more and then I'll tackle all the unfinished bases at one big go.

Sorry about the pics - my lighting doesn't work all that well with concave stuff. In reality the orange in front is as vibrant as it is on the back.

Next, a Morlock - an outcast pumped full of drugs and extreme body modifications who charges at the enemy with a huge gun and smoke grenades. The mini looks very comiccy and I tried to accentuate that with the painting.

Aye, I have no idea why these are so fun to paint - perhaps it's the colours.

Finally an update. And finally a miniature with a finished base. I really took my time pondering on the base, but I haven't yet done the others, so you can still tell me to change things on that front.

Anyway, the third Alguacile:

Infinity (http://www.infinitythegame.com/) is a skirmish scale scifi game from a Spanish company called Corvus Belli. It has brilliant rules for depicting fire fights between small groups. The beta rules are free and they are reasonably close to the full rules (though the layout sucks) if one wants to take a look before buying. The actual rulebook is absolutely gorgeous (and the English is somewhat better than in the beta).

Nomads are one of the human factions in the game. They are outcasts from the society who live in three huge star ships and offer services that are often illegal on planets to the rest of the humanity.

A great game and I highly recommend it! :)

Pretty basic, really.

Then, Pi-Well:

I took my time with the blends on this one, though the underside of the gun looks rather atrocious (it's in an angle where you normally won't see the underside, so I didn't notice it until the pic.

Any comments?
