View Full Version : A Warlord Titan is Re-born!

Pages : [1] 2

Stompy and me go back a long long way, I originally built him early 90's when I was a mere scratch-building hatch ling. He was later dragged out of the garden shed and rushed into service for the launch of Apocalypse. I finally got him back to the Titan Planetary workshops (OK, my spare room) to do him a little more justice

I will probably end up totally re-painting him after all the detail work is finished but I will cross that bridge when I come to it

Just finished pimping over the main weapons, the new Gatling blaster and Volcano cannon. As you can see from the Titan crew stood on the Gantry, they are whoppers!

Also pictured them next to 'Mjolnir' the New FW Reaver Titan, even he doesn't look so impressive when he is stood next to the mega Gatling cannon!

On another positive I am managing to make a little space and clear most of the crap lying around in my various bits boxes by slapping everything I can find onto the re-fit

I knew saving those pot noodle tubs was a good idea ;)

As a huge fan of you past logs I cant wait to see this one.

PS those things are HUGE! I love em!

22-07-2008, 13:35
thats one HUGE gun!... and it looks really nice, btw is it the legs of the titan you can see up in the right corner of the last picture?

Rabid Bunny 666
22-07-2008, 13:50
Oh sweet mamma..

22-07-2008, 14:11
Holy freaking.... words cannot describe how awesome that is.

Those guns, when compared to FW's reaver, look big enough for an Imperator Titan let alone a Warlord, have you thought of doing one of them instead?

I usually subscribe to and watch your threads completely lost for words, this will be yet another one.

22-07-2008, 14:48
Yes, considering the size on those you're closer to Imperator than Warlord. Also I must say that th guns alone look better than almost every scratch build Titan project I've seen on this site. I especially like how you included the maintenance walkways and ladders on them, its a nice touch.

btw your Reaver is beautiful.

22-07-2008, 14:58
I did NOT expect to see a Warlord Scratchbuild made out of legit pieces and not just cardboard! 0.o

This is made of 1 part win, 2 parts epic (1 for each gun) and 3 parts awesome!

22-07-2008, 15:31
The gantries on the gun exterior are just plain genius.

Well done.

22-07-2008, 15:32
I am in complete awe of you sir. Keep it up!!!

22-07-2008, 15:45
that is just made of pure win, pure awesome, and a bucket load of oure insanity and bravery. That arm itself is amazing, and the fact that it's just the arm and is already bigger than the reaver is amazing. definitly keeping an eye on this. and good luck with the rest of titan.

Admiral Koppenflak
22-07-2008, 16:26
It's awesome alright, but too big for a Warlord.

Having seen Epic titans before, here's a guide for you;

Warlord ~= Twice the height of a Warhound (About 60cm in 40k scale)

Imperator ~= Twice the height of a Warlord (About 100-120cm in 40k scale)

This said... That gun is *way* too big for a Warlord class titan!

22-07-2008, 18:06
Glad you like it chaps, Stompy is an old Mk1 Warlord (not really a fan of the Mk3) as I have said earlier, he will hopefully get the same makeover as the weapons, I already have full cockpit detail planned. Also lots more gantries to be added to the main body as I intend the titan itself to be a battlefield!

I never sketch things out and prefer to just work from my head as I go, I like it this way, everything is always a surprise :D

Pictures before he came home can be found here http://www.tanksandtrolls.co.uk/40KTitan%20company.htm (top left)

I got to be honest Admiral Koppenflak, I personally don't think there is much room in sci fi gaming for scale, especially for something of this magnitude, I just go with what looks cool and if it makes you think "Holy *****" then I have done my job well :D

Besides I hail back from the days of the original Adeptus Titanicus, when men were men, cybernetic sheep were wary and Titans were, erm, well TITANIC!

The carapace lifts off, I am toying with the idea of making a "Sunday best" Imperator cathedral to take its place, maybe some new Emperor weapons, long way off though. This is a project I am actually ENJOYING for a change!

I will try and get a progress page up and running on the website if I can break away from my craft knife for long enough...

22-07-2008, 18:28
This is amazing. The titan will be huge; best of luck with that. Good to see that you're using a colourful painting scheme too.

22-07-2008, 19:45
Pfft I nearly choked when i saw the scale of this thing
Awesome to be sure :D

Metal Fingered Villain
22-07-2008, 19:56
wow, the sheer scale of this thing is mind boggeling.

22-07-2008, 19:59
Wow. HUGE! Is that real bullets in the feed to the gun? If so, it says quite a bit about the size... Its not a mini! Its like... a biggi?

22-07-2008, 20:17
Dear lord there is some major over compensation issues going on here.

Some super sweet overcompensation issues. ;)

Judging by those guns, that model in going to be taller than a man.

22-07-2008, 21:11
All 5 foot 8!!!!
Massive is an understatement!
Great looking weapons.
If I made something this size Mrs Bugbait would throw me out.

Bugbait out

22-07-2008, 22:28
wow, if i was to be a parent, i wouldnt want a boy or girl, i'd want a Warlord titan like that!!! No more pesky foxes or school-yard bullies!

22-07-2008, 23:27
That looks totally awesome!
Now paint up that gatling gun and take it into a bank or some such and tape it and post it on youtube, I wonder how the people would react to something irl looking gun like that

24-07-2008, 22:21
Did a little more work on the titan today. all the weapons are finished (not painted of course) and started working on the carapace, not going too OTT on anything above the head as once its on the table its all around 8 feet up in the air!

This is the re-fitted barrage launcher,

More pot noodle tubs used for the vents!

Teddy bear eyes make the perfect missile tips, something slightly disturbing about that!

24-07-2008, 22:22
I totally re-built the Vortex missile, true Blue Peter styling using a couple of old pop bottles and some bottle caps ;D

the original eagle was a bit naff but it was going to be too messy trying to remove it so I opted the option 2, cover it as much as possible!
I have also added studding to the edging pieces

24-07-2008, 22:32
Holy emperor's toilet, that is huge. I want one! If it's 5 foot 8 it's only just shorter than me.

24-07-2008, 22:44
sweet saint sabbats holy golden turds...

this is amazing! i am really looking forwards to seein this....

24-07-2008, 23:44
Oh my, I think I just wet myself. When it has babies can I have one?

25-07-2008, 00:40
Thats no Warlord , Thats gotta be an imperator with a mega blaster that big

25-07-2008, 08:31
Be interesting to see the vortex missile with paint on!
Where do you get your steel mesh for the walkways? is it from a body filler kit for car panelbeating?

Bugbait out.

25-07-2008, 14:00
WOOOOOOOOW is all i can say!

Seriously do you live in Europe, Australia where!? Where ever it is i have to visit once you finished it lol.

I am definetly watching this!

25-07-2008, 14:05
That bad boy is HUGE!!!!!

25-07-2008, 14:14
This isn't a Warlord Titan... it's a real person in a suit isn't it?

25-07-2008, 19:42
'No more pesky foxes'-- wait, where you live, there is a risk of foxes killing/stealing/maiming children!? wow, you live ina forest settlement from the Iron ages? :P

holy mother of holy things! Now forget foxes, babies are at risk of this mother! even if it just falls on them....

I can't wait to see that fellah finished!

vampires are cool!
25-07-2008, 19:49
Simply amazing. Wow.

26-07-2008, 23:14
this titan is absolutely astonishing, if its 8 feet like you say unless you're playing on the floor then you may have to drill holes in the roof.:)

27-07-2008, 00:20
The Implication was, I believe that it was 8 feet in total, with the length of the table beneath it's feet included in the calculation.

27-07-2008, 00:59
My god man..... you dragged it out for apocalypse? can it even fit on a table? :)

Awesome looking so far, can't wait to see more :)

27-07-2008, 11:13
That thing almost gave me an embolus. Awesome.

27-07-2008, 13:08
holy moly!!
very impressive indeed! you have a great eye for detail. i can tell you spent your youth watching Blue Peter!

27-07-2008, 16:47
Sweet Zombie Jesus!

This is one of the greatest things I have ever seen!

My hat goes off to you sir, I even went to put on a hat just to take it off to you sir!

27-07-2008, 20:47
Perhapse the titan should be put forward as an Imperator and not Warlord?

28-07-2008, 03:31
It's even too big for an imperator. It'd be perfect for a warlord for 3 1/4" action figures though.

28-07-2008, 03:37

Hive Fleet Typhoon
28-07-2008, 10:23
*jaw drops*
Alright now that i have cleared up the mess. That looks amazing!!
one question. if its going to be about 8ft tall.. how are you going to hold it all together so you can still move it around? really big magnets or Pins? lol

28-07-2008, 22:38
Done some more work on the big guy!

Torso detailed up, also added a few bits of piping and more gantries to the underside of the carapace, was a little plain and it gives it more of an industrial look now.

Also finished detailing the head and cockpit detail. The 'eyes' actually have LED's fitted so they shine green and red, look quite funky, the torso also carries 4 LED spotlights to light up the battlefield before him and finally the cockpit screens and controls will cast light over the interior of the command deck. I will get some decent pics of the lights when the Titan is painted for best effect. Bulked the neck out with ribbed piping and made skull cap removable so the interior can be viewed

Decided it might be novel to keep track of the void shields by actually building the generators and using magnets to secure them to the carapace, this way they can be removed when knocked out and re-applied when powered up again..boys and their toys! LOL

just putting finishing touches to the legs and I will assemble for a complete photo, after that its dis-assemble and paint time!

28-07-2008, 22:39

28-07-2008, 22:40

Lord Inquisitor
28-07-2008, 22:54

What are the interior details made out of? They look awesome! I'd recommend putting the princeps' chair in some kind of pulpit though, to get the gothic alcove feel. What is the wiring on the underside of the carapace for? It looks ... functional...

As for scale, it actually looks about right as to what it SHOULD be for a warlord (even the forgeworld titans are pretty small for what they should be).

28-07-2008, 22:57
I got to take my hat of to you, thats all i can say as im so in shock! this thing is ace, you made the datasheet hehe.
how much as it cost you so far?, cant wait to see this 100% finished.
Also are some of the parts you used cast in plaster?

great work!

28-07-2008, 23:07
Good mother of the dark gods what are you? this thing doesn't qualify as immense, its just too immense! I mean.... WOW!

28-07-2008, 23:44
WOW i would love to know the process you went through to do the interia of the cockpit it looks cast but what with

29-07-2008, 02:08
all i can say is....GOD DAMMMM!!!!!!!!

29-07-2008, 05:47
This is by far the best scratch-built titan I've ever seen...in fact i'd go so far as to say this is the best scratch built ANYTHING i've ever seen! Most titans just look scraped together out of cardboard, but this model is absolutely fantastic. I love the walkways, and all the details you've put into it! I would be absolutely terrified to be fielding anything against that beast.

Only one critical note, some of the foam looks rough and...well foam like. How are you planning on smoothing that out? I've never had much luck making foam look nice and smooth...

Triszin The Wrath God
29-07-2008, 06:15
your insane, but crazy artfully insane....

i belive i know what your next project will be.. making a real wokring dreadnaught so you can make this stuff into the size of buildings,

KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

29-07-2008, 07:38
Is that 8 foot on the table or 8 foot freestanding?

Judging by the size of the guns [to the Reaver], it's *way* bigger than a warlord

29-07-2008, 07:58
WOW i would love to know the process you went through to do the interia of the cockpit it looks cast but what with

I would guess the interior details are cast in either resin or plaster of paris, they appear to be casts of the interior detail from the FW Reaver, for instance the two servitor in the walls are the gun servitor from the interior ceiling of the Reaver and the various vents, screens and crew are also from the Reaver.

29-07-2008, 08:12

I want one!! I want one!! I want one!!:chrome:

29-07-2008, 09:06
holy s*** thats amazing! KEEP IT UP!

29-07-2008, 12:44
has it ever been destroyed on the field as on the gaming table its pictured on if it goes nuclear the whole table would go, nothing would survive! Do you use the warlord rules as it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than that!

29-07-2008, 12:50

QUESTION: Did you cast up the (servitors)/ crew from originals. I thought I was familiar with the various parts of FW bits, but the 4 guys at the rear of the cockpit are eluding me?

Can we get some close ups of them at all?

29-07-2008, 14:05
Could we please commission you to build a couple of those life size for deployment in Afghanistan?

29-07-2008, 14:34

The 4 servitors at the rear of the cockpit are from the ceiling of the Reaver titan hull interior (not visible in any of the shots on the FW site, basically it's moulded into the underside of the top carapace section).

29-07-2008, 18:15
What the hell....*having some trouble to get my lips together again, so my mouth gets closed*
Do you have any recipe for us, so we can just try to follow in your big and glorious footsteps?

Have I any problems with my eyes or was just one weapon of this newest Titan out of your forge as big as the Reaver? *stunning*

29-07-2008, 20:56
Could we please commission you to build a couple of those life size for deployment in Afghanistan?

That's almost big enough to be deployable!!! It's waaaaay too big for 40K.

29-07-2008, 21:06
dear gods of chaos smite this man!
... i don't want to die yet!

seriously, your titans are kickass.
i especially like the grey knight titan stepping on the dragon/daemon, it rocks.

30-07-2008, 00:01

That baby is awsome. can't wait to see it finished.

30-07-2008, 07:46
All the detail work now done, finished the legs and waist yesterday, also re-assembled it all, nearly peed my pants, it looks cool!

Will have some complete pics later today, just got a little extra work to do on the weapon mounts, for now here are more WIP pics

Try to answer a few questions now!

yes, Binky is right, I took molds of the reaver crew before I built the model, strictly for personal use of course, with the big guy in mind. When I pay 500 quid for Reaver model I expect to get my moneys worth from it!

I actually had an email from the guys at FW a couple of weeks back saying they really enjoyed looking at the website, its nice to know that they encourage us scratch builders and appreciate our slight eccentricity ;)

Right, the wire mesh is from any local auto shop, about £1 for a roughly A4 size sheet, I found an interesting side use for it too, cut it into really thin strips and it makes fantastic barbed wire for the battlefield!

Titan is around 5 1/2 feet tall, nearly 8 feet to the top of the barrage launcher when he is stood on the table!

Once the banner is fitted it should top around 6 1/2 feet, I cant fit it at home while its on the table though....ceilings too low!

I will get some close-ups of the command deck once its all painted and lit up, just onto it now

Not planning on smoothing any of the foam out to be honest, it sort of gives it an aged look, also I really cant be ar*ed/want to risk any more weight!

Lord Inquis, I agree, I always thought the released Titan kits were a little too small to be honest, probably thinned down to allow a reasonable production kit to be created. This fella was originally built from the old epic minis, the height of the toe was equal to a space marine

it played in one game in its original form on the release of apoc using standard warlord rules, lasted about 3 or 4 turns then some chaos obliterators teleported under its shield's (can they do that?) and finished it off. its very entertaining to use in games however, 1st turn the vortex missile took out THREE baneblades, it also nailed numerous troops, vehicles and a warhound before finally going crit (OK, we may have adjusted the rolls slightly!) exploding for a 36 inch blast and toasting most of the remaining troops including its own side ROFLMAO

Took your advice on the princep btw, have pimped him up and he is sat on a nice throne like command chair, cheers for the suggestion

30-07-2008, 07:49
Im speechless. :eek::eek::eek:

Amazing is all I can say!

I cant wait for that one completed pic that says "im a bad ****".

30-07-2008, 11:28
<Gulp> Bit scary as he does tend to follow you around the room with his eyes...all 4 of them!

I better charge up the EMP cannon, just in case!

Anyhow, building work done, now onto the painting....think I may need a few more pots of paint LOL

Btw, that's not a 25mm miniature stood at its feet in the last pic, its the new FW reaver!!!

30-07-2008, 11:29

Solun Decius
30-07-2008, 11:58
Congratulations on the build!
So much detail in such a huge model. Love the plunging orks.
Are you going to repaint the whole thing or just the rebuilt parts?

30-07-2008, 12:02
GOD DAMMMM i thought the FW reaver was big but that ones just.... just....(there is no words for it)

You just about need a bigger house.

And judging buy the back ground your looking at starting 40K earlier nice gun collection.

30-07-2008, 12:19
Originally intended just to patch over the pimped out parts Solun but its looking like a whole re-paint job now!

Those flames were a little messy anyhow so it will allow me to tidy everything up and bring it all up to par with my recent builds :D

30-07-2008, 13:24
... Is that a Facehugger clinging to your roof?

30-07-2008, 17:41
excellent work. i'm very impressed.
and if you'll excuse me i'll be needing a change of pants.

30-07-2008, 18:00
Once again bulldoguk, you amaze me. I find it awesome that FW would comment on your website and designs. After it is all painted up I think you should play with it in an apoc game again and post some pictures and a small report of how it performed. That would be great. And good luck with painting that thing~!

31-07-2008, 14:42
Painted the command deck today, also added some LED's for a little mood lighting ;D

OMG! Now i need clean underwear!

Excellent work on the LED's! DO a tut!

31-07-2008, 16:49
i really can't wait to see that titan finished:D:chrome:

31-07-2008, 17:44
Good googly moogly! WoW!

I have a feeling someone from GW HQ will be calling you after you post final pics of this thing... if they don't they are crazy.

Awesome work!

01-08-2008, 08:00
Ithink I could make a killing by selling cheap easy washable underwear online by the sounds of it!

Anyhow, Made up a few purity seals for the finished model, busy over the weekend but will hopefully get stuck into painting the big fella next week!

01-08-2008, 10:10
Bulldog, is it hard to move the titan on the gaming board without breaking off parts?

01-08-2008, 11:23
This is utterly amazing.

Any chance of some photos of the rest of the room? I can see some really cool stuff in there, like the Boba Fett suit =D

01-08-2008, 12:27
It looks daft.
Impressive but daft nonetheless.

The legs have no knee's...watching that thing walk would be hailarious.
He'd struggle to get over even fairly small obstacles by the looks of things.

01-08-2008, 13:10

He'd struggle to get over even fairly small obstacles by the looks of things.

LOL, if your in a hundred foot killing machine and your wanting to gently step OVER the Orc cultural centre I think your in the wrong job...stick with the infantry :D

I sorta see what your saying though, on the other hand I can imagine it would possibly be able to move, just google walking robots, there are some crazy designs out there, but they all walk in one way or another. End of the day its sci-fi, use your imagination ;)

Tommygun its surpisingly easy to slide around on a cloth based gaming mat (like the ones GW sells) it stands on a 27 inch diameter base so you dont even have to touch the model to move it, saying that it doesnt really have to move much in your average game, it makes a great objective!

I was playing around with the idea of making some little ball bearing runners beneath the base but it just seems like tempting fate making it that easy to move, odds on one day it rolls off the table and squashes little johny flat as a pancake and even worse damages my model!

Speaking of dimensions I measured things up yesterday, 6 feet high with banner (5' 1" from toe to top of barrage launcher) 35 inches wide and as mentioned stands on a 27 inch diameter base...try buying those in blister packs of 4 from your local hobby shop!

02-08-2008, 04:09

You should take a photo of someone standing right next to it for scale.
I like Teh_Soldier suggestion of seeing more of your garage.

02-08-2008, 04:34
This is one of the best models I've ever seen, but if I may, please can I offer two points of constructive crit?

First, I'm not sure about the Orks scaling the leg. I know the model is really old and in its first incantation would have been less seriously put together, but parts of the model are so highly finished now that the comic nature of that diorama seems out of place.

Second, please put as much detail into the shoulders and legs as you did into the weapons and the head (my god, the head!) - you've done so much incredible work here that you've got the opportunity of a hobbyists lifetime - if you finish the rest of it to the extent of that cockpit, this will literally be a model that people talk about for decades - one of the all time great GW hobby creations.

02-08-2008, 07:41
The first ever GW game I played was Space Marine and THIS is what I have had in my imagination ever since that first day. Thank you for building a properly scaled Warlord Thank you!!!!! Fantastic work, when are you going to do a Banelord?

02-08-2008, 22:25
Awesome, does it actually explode when its destroyed too? ;)

03-08-2008, 21:52
Well my hat off to you Sir!

Thats quite a master peice, hell its beyond a master peice, its truely is a TITAN!!!

I also have a forgeworld reaver and having it allows me to appreciate its size even more. It be nice if workshop did up the scale of there titans or atleast give us exact scale of them as the fluff and artwork are very deceptive.

Once again thou it is very beautiful and sexy, it should be entered into Gamesday in the open !!!

04-08-2008, 02:54
So I take it no plans to rework the legs? They're still very spindly and awkward looking :s

04-08-2008, 03:47
I would comment, but in all honesty, I'm terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought. That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Congrats!

04-08-2008, 07:48
The bible says "thou shalt not have false idols"... I think most of us here have found it in what you're building. That is ridiculously awesome! All of us bow before the Imperator titan. "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!"

The Venerable Archmage
04-08-2008, 09:40
Awesome... I don't generally like titans, but this one is just... wow...

I love the gantries on the weapons. It really emphasises the scale of the thing when you can comfortably walk along the side of them.

04-08-2008, 11:05
I take it back those weapons are the perfect size.

Everything is looking beyond awesome, I'll echo alexh's suggestion for the open cometition if your previous painting is anything to go by.

That is if they have room for it. :p

05-08-2008, 14:55
unfortunately, it would be too large to enter into even the open competition. i think it's 18'x18'x18' dimension or some such.

Light of the Emperor
05-08-2008, 16:31
Great purity seals! I was wondering what you used for the "wax" part. Clay perhaps? The parchment is just thick paper that has been scorched a little?
I have a lifesize guard banner and these things would be perfect!

Great titan!

05-08-2008, 18:19
OMG this thing is omg its its, emperor give me strength ( runs towards it SPLAT! im now flatened in the imprint of a giant titan footprint)

That's nuts!

The lighting makes it even more cooler!

06-08-2008, 19:02
You're the guy behind "Tanks & Trolls"? Hell's Taco Bells, I feel insignificant. the masterpieces you create... mindblowing. the sheer amount of details... overwhelming. You, good sir, are a God.

Stompy MkII looks just epic. That's the only word that nearly fits the awesomeness of this scratchbuild.

KlutzyKultist of Kaoz
06-08-2008, 19:14
OMG I JUST **** MYSELF 4 TIMES OVER. . . how much would it cost to comission you to build one.

06-08-2008, 19:46
now that is big! beyond words..

06-08-2008, 22:17
some truly excelent work there!

however i personally believe the lower legs should be bigger!

de Selby
07-08-2008, 08:59
The thing is, if the lower legs were bigger it would be the size of Hein's titan and people would be saying it was too tall. Personally I like my titans to be as big as possible (more like the artwork and less like the epic miniatures), but at least the upper body is suitably huge.

It's just like citadel miniatures; out of proportion so you focus on the most important bits, like the guns :D

07-08-2008, 22:16
hehe, glad you like whats been done so far chaps. Little busy over the next couple of months but will try and get some painting done on the big fella.

Couple of points, first regarding the legs. the original model was built when only the Mk1 Titan was available, personally I always liked it over the newer Mk3 Titans (bit too square IMO), as such the legs are staying the same and will stay faithful to the original, this is, afterall, a patch job not a total re-build and as selby says, if your losing sleep over the legs when there are guns THAT big right next to them maybe you should sell up and start playing monopoly ;)

Regarding the detail, I am leaving it as it is right now, I think you can swamp a model with too much detail just for the sake of it. If I really wanted to I could leave this Titan on my workbench for the next few months and really go to crazy town on it, however, I need to clear the table ASAP for other projects and as you can probably appreciate this thing takes up a LOT of space! besides there is nothing to say that a few more months down the line I cant drag it back home and add a little more 'interesting' bits to it :D

rather fancy making some alternative weapons, maybe a corvus assault pod or equally exotic replacements for the original sets!

I have changed the overall edging colour to bronze/gold to match in with the reaver Titan 'Mjolnir'. Turns out that rather than paint over the new parts its become a total re-paint from top to toe! BAH rather more work than I planned for!

07-08-2008, 22:26
Words cannot express how impressive this project is mate. That is insanely cool. Will you transport that to a local game or exhibition?
The collection of stuff in the background is equally impressive too (loving the barratt .50cal ;) ).

Cant wait to hear what your next projects are. Imperial Palace? Star Fort that you can live in? :p

07-08-2008, 23:31
Amazing work, as always.

I have changed the overall edging colour to bronze/gold to match in with the reaver Titan 'Mjolnir'. Turns out that rather than paint over the new parts its become a total re-paint from top to toe! BAH rather more work than I planned for!

You tease, where are the pics!:cries:

08-08-2008, 07:50
Glad to hear its getting a full repaint. It is an insanely brilliant model.

08-08-2008, 08:23

sum bitch.... my god either you have too much time on your hands or you have the best girlfriend/wife ever!

my god if only we could band together all the problems of the world would end in days.

08-08-2008, 11:42
Amazing! And looking around the room I have to second olmsteds statements. My gods.

08-08-2008, 12:57
I think you need a template for that weapon... methinks a small parachute or the like.

08-08-2008, 13:44
Utterly brilliant. Best thing on Warseer. More please!

Deus Ruinus
08-08-2008, 14:30
dude that thing is just way too harsh! its amazing! id refuse an apocalypse battle with you!

well i do like it, however i dont agree to the legs, there a bit little amd if i remember...dont warlords have knees> i can imagine that thing have a hard time moving. as im told the warlord is supossidly be about 4ft tall in 40k scale you could revamp the legs by adding on some thighs to the thing :P even i do like it.

13-08-2008, 20:00
Warlord is just about finished now, just got to touch up the back banner and paint up a few assault marines, so here are a few teaser pics. Painted 10 servitors yesterday, they were originally going to go into my adeptus army but got re-assigned to God machine maintenance, can probably spot a few on one of the pics going about their daily business ;D

I was quite surprised actually. By the time the marines are pinned to the leg repelling borders there will be a total 37 miniatures in, on are within the Titan, a small army!

I didn't go crazy on the carapace, after all apart from the odd world series basketball player wandering into the shop I figured who is gonna see anything up there!

Enjoy, full pics hopefully within a week!

Oh, he is now 'Odin' all his weapons are also named after other Norse Gods, thought it would keep things nicely in line with 'Mjolnir' my Reaver Titan

13-08-2008, 20:55
How could I have missed such an awesome Thread for so long

Truly you are the Fabricator General in RL :chrome:

13-08-2008, 21:29
I'm lost for words!!!

That is amazing...

13-08-2008, 21:33
.................................................. ... (breathes very deeply).............................. Your mad!

Apart from that that is one heck of an amazing Titan, well done, and one quick question what are the Orks doing, are they trying to scale it ?

14-08-2008, 01:43
That is ace, I'd let it blow my army to bits just to stand under it.

I have to ask, are you actually in the UK? I'd assumed BulldogUK was a clue but with all the Guns(My original thought was airsoft) in the background and now a freaking crossbow  I had to ask.

14-08-2008, 05:29
Can I buy some of your skill? How much? :p

Great work man! You make me want to attempt to build one (and then, of course, fail miserably :( )

Keep it coming!

15-08-2008, 10:08
Scale issues aside (it's big enough to be an Imperator, nevermind a warlord! :p ), this is an incredible piece of work... what I like most is the detailing you have given it, something that is missing from the MK.1 Warlords, in comparison to the MK.3's (unlike you, I prefer the MK.3's, but for that reason).

Most of all, I have learnt from this thread to never underestimate what one can do with empty Pot Noodles! :D

15-08-2008, 10:12
That model is sick! There is no word to describe it. You are a madman. i love it ;)

15-08-2008, 10:15
Serious Question: How much

or how much for you to build me a titan.

15-08-2008, 11:28

I'm no fan of the mark 1, but this.... this I like. You are quite mad sir :)

15-08-2008, 12:46
Inspirational, from the top of the carapace down to the rubble claws!

Any chance he'll be making an appearance at Dark Stars?

15-08-2008, 13:26
Holy Emporers golden Feces!

That thing looks truly wiked, next time you play appocalypse, don't put it on the table, it can command the battle it's that tall.
I am honestly amazed someone could build and even consider painting that!
I got a Baneblade for christmas and its still 3/4 painted.

Next you should build your own life sized fully functional power armour.
And while your at it make Gene seed and what not.
I will then pay you to make me the first real life space marine presuming I don't have to have my nuts removed, seriosly how inconvinient would nuts be for a 40k marine picture a marine charging into orks and a bullet hits him in the crotch, dosen't penetrate the armour or anything but the marine kneels over half way through the battle holding his crotch area.

16-08-2008, 22:18
Well, it's all finished chaps! However, am gonna be a big tease and not post any pics until it goes back into the shop after the August bank hol, main reason is I don't have the ceiling clearance to get the bloody banner on!

Anyhow, few updates here.

First are a few marines I have painted up for costume jewelry. First chance I have had to try the speed painting technique on actual 40k marines, turned out quite nice and I really enjoyed painting them (excuse the Kama Sutra type poses, they will be pinned to the legs of the titan mid flight) so I guess an Ultramarine army is on the books!

16-08-2008, 22:19
Second, I decided to take advantage of the two redundant hard points on the Titans carapace and add some AA! Being way too tight to blow all that money on FW hydras I managed to pick up a couple of WWII 1/18 scale quad 50 cals, 9 quid each, bargain!

After literally an hour modifying them and a quick paint job later they look quite funky, great thing about these is they can be removed if need be and used for static emplacements in games or even slapped on top of existing chassis for air support when required, bobbed one on one of my Baneblades for an example

16-08-2008, 22:21
OK, few more teaser shots, note the servitors are now in place strutting their stuff and doing what they are paid for, also notice the servo skulls fluttering about keeping a careful watch on things (added a couple to the command deck too)

47 minis on board and counting! 51 if you count the 4 servitors hard wired into the command deck!

Final picture shows the marines in place and repelling borders, giving the Orks a jolly good thrashing! I will get some close up ASAP

16-08-2008, 23:25
Wow, the level of detail is incredible, and those AA guns fit perfectly, as well as looking uber-badass on your baneblade :D

As for your speed painting abilities, i'd be pleased if my slow painting was that good!

17-08-2008, 00:09
I want one!! The level of detail is jaw dropping.
The AA Baneblade looks really cool aswell

17-08-2008, 00:27
That really is very nice, like....twice the niceness of Megan Fox. Now all you have to do is build a drop pod for it :D

Seriously, have a game of apocalypse going, with BFG beside it. Hafway through the game, a ship deploys the warlord on the battlefield by way of drop pod...that would be immense.

17-08-2008, 02:04
Everything has been said a hundred times.

By the way, could you please ask it to marry me?

17-08-2008, 03:29
Ridiculously good. Love the turret on the baneblade as well. How do you have the hours in the day to paint and model all this stuff?

17-08-2008, 08:38
Wow its looking good, loving the AA models.

19-08-2008, 11:37
Big guys gotta be disassembled until he goes back into the Wakefield GW shop so I can have some room back and work on my table. Figured might as well take a few shots.

Sadly he seems to be one of those 'miniatures' that simply isn't photogenic IMHO, simply too big to get the whole feel of the scale of the model yet appreciate the detail. Hopefully should be down at Games day with him and maybe a few more of the models so do your self a favour and check him out with the good old MK1 eyeball if your passing ;)

Lots more pics here (newest towards the bottom) Odin the destroyer, ripper of chaos, devourer of all that is Orkiness, scorcher of tyranical xenomorphs, stomper of Eldar flower arrangements (http://www.tanksandtrolls.co.uk/40KWarlordTitanNEW.htm)

You could play necromunda on this beast, how cool would that be....gang fight on a moving titan.......*** picture's and insane battle ***

very very cool '' model ''

19-08-2008, 22:15
Quick update, didnt feel right with these tiiiiiiiny little dice so I bought something befitting of the great machine God....LOL it could almost be an epic miniature now!

19-08-2008, 22:44
Awesome dude! Really terrific work you've done.

20-08-2008, 02:30
100% pure awesome. Love the orks climbing the leg!

Klaus, not Santa
20-08-2008, 08:33
This is simply great!
I mean I like big stuff, and creating it too, but this is simply "Übergroß", if not to say "riesig" :)
And those little Orks nagging at his feet *lol*

22-08-2008, 01:20
...wow...just wow

This model is utterly astounding. It's rare to see any level of detail in a model this big, most people seem to just slap one together out of cardboard so they can field one on the table, or leave it somewhere at 5% completion. That you even finished this behemoth impresses me to no end, let alone how fantastic it looks.

...the base could be more interesting though... otherwise unbeleivable.

22-08-2008, 05:33
Oh god he is massive!

Have my babies :p So what's up next on the drawing board?

22-08-2008, 07:22
Those giant dice are great.

"I destroyed your volcano cannon!"

"Well, eat some feedback!"

*throws giant dice*

Giant dice are strength D weapons. It's in the errata...

22-08-2008, 13:53
Just scraped my jaw back off teh floor after just the first page, now attempting to relocate said jaw after seeing the full gallery on T&T. I'm astounded... and humbled, my attempts are going back to teh drawing board!

22-08-2008, 13:59
Love the orks scaling its legs :D

23-08-2008, 05:42

and the dice are very fitting

23-08-2008, 06:02
Very nice Bulldog, now make him walk.;)

23-08-2008, 16:11
wow, just wow. This thing is just nuts.

vampires are cool!
23-08-2008, 17:20
Without doubt this has got to be the most impressive thing i have yet seen on Warseer. You should be proud of such a truly Herculean endeavor.

23-08-2008, 17:36
Just notinced smurfs scaling the outside to attack the orks.......
Hang on aren't titans manned By IG or has GW altered the fluff since the days of epic 3rd ed?

23-08-2008, 18:44
Alsharoth, actually they are assault marines so i don't think they are scaling down the legs ;)

24-08-2008, 00:37
I really love the work you have done with this titan! Amazing! BIG guns, I love them :D

24-08-2008, 01:23
Stunning. Nothing else to say!

31-08-2008, 17:22
Apparantly, health and safety along with worker welfare stretches even into the far reaches of the Imperium. As a result I was required to add refreshment facilities for the servitor crew of the Titan!

Don't worry, the command deck crew have a coffee machine and mini bar ;D

31-08-2008, 17:33
Very cheap food!

31-08-2008, 17:39
I'm with Dictator. It'd cost me twice that for a bacon butty in Edinburgh. ;)

31-08-2008, 17:54
Must be using the cheap cuts of bacon. ;D

31-08-2008, 20:41
It's heavily subsidised by their Union Subs :D

Btw. For anyone wondering how they keep their balance on those gantries when the Titan is on the move they have magnetic boots and gyroscopic testicles OK? ;)

31-08-2008, 21:08
I'm with Dictator. It'd cost me twice that for a bacon butty in Edinburgh. ;)

Where can you get a bacon butty that cheap here? I mean apart form the take out trailers in the Grassmarket.

31-08-2008, 21:26
A little off topic but there is a sandwich shop on Haymarket Terrace opposite the entrance to the car park at the back of the station. Run by a lil ole lady (TM).

On topic: BDUK - They're servitors. No justification necessary. ;)

04-09-2008, 11:21
Got round to painting up a few more bits n pieces for the Titan base yesterday. Established a nice range of blues (none of them Ulramarine surprisingly!) for my speed painting technique now so its just a getting the time to jump headlong into my Ultramarine army

DN has a few Dark Angel parts I pulled out the bits box to fluff him up a bit, decided to paint the full range of weapons as he will only be pinned to the base allowing me to use him in battles.

I pulled some fantastic Dark angel converted minis from ebay a while ago, I have decided I am gonna really rile the rivet counters out there and paint 'em all blue...call them the Ultra-wings!

Ork trukk was originally planned for the Reaver base but it seems more appropriate here, bottom pics show rough positioning, orks will be minus the bases of course when I am done.

Been playing a lot of Dawn of War lately so couldn't resist the DN giving the Ork a lovable hug!

04-09-2008, 11:23

04-09-2008, 11:29
Lol, ''Prepare to be boarded!''

Nice work on the base stuff.

04-09-2008, 14:04
Aye i agree the base models look good, nicely painted dread as well mate. :)

04-09-2008, 16:50
Everything is fantastic!

I really like the WIP shots where the "general" mini is posed for scale. He seems to be thinking... "Yes, this will do nicely to crush the green skin menace..."

04-09-2008, 17:43
how does the magic jump troop levitate? or is that clever photo editing?

04-09-2008, 20:32
No camera trickery del-patch. Just pure magic :D

I simply poured a small ammount of red bull into each back pack...it gives them wings you know!

Seriously they are all pinned to the leg, purely accidental but the wire used was a really neutral gun metal colour (works much better than black), its less obvious than on the pics and really hard to spot when looking it over with the good old mk1 eyeball, sometimes I have to pinch myself to remind me they aint actually flying around there like some heavily armoured Cottingley fairies!

Btw, should be down at games day next week with him and hopefully a few of the other models, will be on the Wakefield shop stand, come say hello if your down there, always nice to put faces to avatars!

11-09-2008, 16:03
This thing has been in my way for ages now since I updated it witha new Vortex missile but I just can't justify simply binning it soooooo

First person to come find me at games day and poke me with a spoon gets it for FREE!

Gotta be a spoon mind you, nothing sharp or pointy ;)

I'm sure some of you orky players out there can find a good use for it!

11-09-2008, 18:23
hey I was looking at the pictures and noticed in the background is that a model of a firefly?

12-09-2008, 08:07
yes it is rcal13, built from card plans and a little extra gubbins from the bits box. 32 inches long so its a biggy too! The plans and details can be seen here..http://www.tanksandtrolls.co.uk/firefly.htm

There is also a link to details and downloadable plans for the Mule on that page ;)

12-09-2008, 11:18
Damn. Can't get those USCM figures anywhere these days! I wanted a couple as references for a conversion or two...

16-09-2008, 08:55
Nice to put faces to names down at games day and chat to a few of you :D

I have something special planned for next years table involving the Titan.

On the same note does anyone out there have one of the epic arm mounted corvus assault pods or any pics/ref material I could work from? Nothing for keeps of course, just to give me a general idea of proportions, details, etc.

Kicking myself knowing I shouldnt have sold all my epic stuff years ago now!

16-09-2008, 09:03
Saw this at GD mate, was really impressed seeing it in person. You did a fantastic job on it, you should be very proud :D

16-09-2008, 09:19
Dear Bulldog

Well everyone has there highlights at gamesday, but speaking to you and seeing your beautiful titans was certainly one of mine this year.

Its so odd as i had two people who recognised me from my photo on my blog saying hello too. The warseer comunity really is something quite special.

Thank you for taking the opportunity to take a couple of minutes out and talk to me about the titans. I especially love the work on the side of the GK titan.

My name is Daniel and i am a wargamer

16-09-2008, 09:23
I saw this in the shop yesterday and it does look fantastic, really impressed with some of those future plans that you have for it.

my i remember seeing this at games day! it is awesome stuff seing the actule thing up close! and it even has a burger bar on the right arm......interesting?
but i really like it after seeing it up close.

15-11-2008, 22:49
that thing is beautiful and should be put into production for the masses immediately!!!!

15-11-2008, 23:52
Make another! Or a different superheavy, like a massive ordinatus?

15-11-2008, 23:54
Imperator titan!!!!

16-11-2008, 00:14

I'm speechless.

16-11-2008, 00:20
There are guys here on Warseer whose work is just so stunning you cant do naught but worship them. And even these guys look up to you!

16-11-2008, 15:50
what is all that stuff in the background, crossbows, airguns etc :D
also i saw this at GD and it is amazing in the flesh

16-11-2008, 16:13
I don't know what to say. It's so great! How do you transport it?

17-11-2008, 13:13
I don't know what to say. It's so great! How do you transport it?

By looking at all the other titans and stuff hes got... it looks like a truck for this one, and a truck for everything else combined.

Can we get some shots (front view or whatever) of all your titans? Or would that seriously... take 6 pages?

20-11-2008, 22:23
Inspired after I read Titanicus I decided to haul the Imperial Titans over the the local GW to have a group shot with Odin!

5 models - 7000 pts....LOL how cool is that!

All the titans and aircraft apart from the two Reavers are scratch built.

Just finished adding a bunch of servo skulls to the model as well as muzzle flashes to the little guys fighting around its feet. Detail shots and a build log of Odin can be found here Warlord Titan (http://www.tanksandtrolls.co.uk/40KWarlordTitanNEW.htm)

I should be adding sound to Odin some time next week. Managed to pull some nice Mechwarrior stompy and blasty sounds from the net, 8 in total on a continuos random loop, once the speakers are installed it should add a little more character to the whole party!

Next? I reckon with the sudden influx of Heretic Titans Odin really needs some sort if close assault weapon to give them a good slap around. I have ideas swirling around my noggin on a huge lightning claw sort of set-up, hopefully get round to that before Xmas, also going to be working on a Corvus assault pod for a set piece for next years game day

Odin is pretty big as Warlord Titans go (they just don't make 'em like they used to!) so I am playing with the idea of building two more titan class weapons for the two forward carapace mount giving a total of 6 weapon points. Playing around with his stats and using him as maybe some sort if of Titan destroyer/hunter

Bear in mind these are only the stock Imperial classes, for much more including background fluff check the Titan Legion page! (http://www.tanksandtrolls.co.uk/40KTitan%20company.htm)

Hope you enjoy, if any of you chaps feel like photoshopping a decent backdrop on any of these pics feel free, I have higher res pics to hand, just giver me a shout,I am pretty useless at that sort of stuff!

20-11-2008, 22:24

20-11-2008, 23:41
Wow. So much awesome in such small square footage. I am jealous. With the lights on, the warlord is just plain scary.

03-02-2009, 21:57
whoa im just speechless with awe

Brother Muninn
03-02-2009, 22:29
Dear sweet monkey meat. That's not just a model of a titan It's like a 1:1 scale warjack too.

arglbrafrgle! *has a seizure due to overexposure to of pure awesome*

06-02-2009, 23:06
wow them pics are cool

im sure this is the titan that was at the UK games day sept last year as well as the grey knight warhound

very cool cant wait to see what else you are going to do

23-03-2009, 15:41
OK, finally found some time this weekend to knock together those additional weapon systems for Odin!

Lot of people have 'complained' about him being way too big for a Warlord, personally I say if your gonna build a Titan, build it as big as you can, clues sort of in the name ::)

Anyhow, seemed a good enough excuse to build something!

Odin shall soon be upgraded to 'Warbringer - Titan Hunter' class, I will work out some in depth fluff as things progress but basically your looking at a behemoth of a machine specifically created to hunt and destroy enemy Titans.

In real terms this means a load out of 4 carapace and 2 arm weapons, maybe a couple of extra void shields and structure points. I figure it would also be feasible to contain barrack quarters in the huge carapace for up to 3 space marine squads (preferably assault to allow rapid deployment to ground level defence)

Roughly a machine that sits between the Warlord and Imperator but designed specifically to go out and kick some machine butt rather than sit back and provide support like the Warmonger class

In modelling terms I will replace the two AA mounts on the front carapace with 2 new weapon systems. 2 x Triple barrel superturbo laser destructors. A much larger and more powerful version of the weapon mounted on the Reaver Titan specifically aimed at overloading enemy shields allowing for killing blows to the unprotected machine beneath. Although these are some of the smaller weapons wielded by Odin you may note that they are still as big as a Reaver Titan....yikes!

Anyhow, progress pics below, will update once they are painted and mounted

Raided the bits box again, empty tamiya thinner tubs, some old make-up bottles (erm, the good ladies, not mine I hasten toi add!) and the tops from the sprays I use amongst other things went into the build......waste not want not!

23-03-2009, 15:57
actully, having started my own warlord, i can appreciate your position. the sheer scale of the buggers is difficult to work, and given he's a titan hunter, it explains the extra foot you've added.

i look forwards to seeing those mounted, though i must say, odin is one hell of a beastie.

23-03-2009, 16:03
Wow, that's some pretty sick guns you've got there :O

Love your stuff.

23-03-2009, 20:11
Wow What is next......... God nows with this man

24-03-2009, 18:49
sprinkled a little paint over the Super Turbo Laser Blasters, nothing too fancy they are after all stuck right up there on the top of the Carapace!

Hopefully call into the shop sometime this week and fit them to Odin, will get some pics soon as...

24-03-2009, 18:58
Very impressive! He certainly looks big enough for four proper carapace weapons.

24-03-2009, 19:03
Holy crap!

This is *********** awesome!

Keep going, i will see this monster done!

24-03-2009, 19:59

Heres a question for you Bulldog me ol' mucker..

I just bought me an armorcast reaver and its currently on its way over the Atlantic, how does it scale in with more recent large models? I know you made your 'hounds following the same templates as me but looking at your pics they look about the same size as the reaver, is that right?

Can you show me a comparison pic? also one with your scratch reaver too if thats ok as I did one of those too.

The Reaver on the front right in Post 193 [http://www.warseer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3093986&postcount=193] is an Armorcast Reaver. When Bulldog said "the two scratchbuilt reavers", he meant the two Scratchbuilt Warhounds.

The one in the middle is the new Forgeworld Reaver; compare the two and then compare the new reaver here: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Titans/reaver/wrscale.jpg; they're almost the same height.

25-03-2009, 01:08
That is simply insane! I cant even imagine how many hours would have gone into that, hats off to you sir!

25-03-2009, 04:02
Wow, you never cease to amaze me. You will, hands down, have the sexiest looking titan forever. Period.

Thanks for that. I realise that thats an armorcast reaver but Bulldog also scratched a grey knight reaver and its that one I'm refering too.

Sleazy, will get a pic of the scratch-built warhound, armorcast reaver and FW reaver side by side tomorrow for you, called into the shop today and measured Gloria the GK Titan, pretty much the same dimensions as the FW Reaver being 15 inches tall and 10 inches accross the shoulder.

Anyhooo, Weapons 'tup top and extra void shields installed on the big fella! When I get the time will russle up an Apoc data sheet...

This is how he greets you as you walk into GW Wakefield

27-03-2009, 18:06
You are single-handedly inspiring me to attempt a Warlord build this summer. Not only is the build fantastic, but so is the paint job!

27-03-2009, 19:04
I crack myself up everytime I look at this thing cuz it reeks of so much ridiculous awesomeness its insane! :p I mean who wouldn't go hysterical with hopelessness when confronted with this monstrosity? Keep up the great work! ...but where do you go from here?

27-03-2009, 20:18
cheers for that bulldog, can you also tell me how tall the armorcast reaver is?

I've seen your titans so many times and my jaw still drops each time, I've no idea quite how you do it.

Wakefield isnt a million miles away, I'd love to see some of these in the "flesh" as it were.

28-03-2009, 13:11
That is so awesome... I think I need to clean myself off with a towel... :P

28-03-2009, 13:27
Jesus Monkey Christ........

28-03-2009, 17:02
While I change my pants, I will make a mental note...

-never play this titan in a game!

29-03-2009, 10:49
OK, sleazy here is the pic as promised.

Armorcast Reaver is 14" tall 9" accross the shoulders (oh, add about a 1/4 inch for the base)

FW Reaver is 16" tall 10" accross the shoulders

Warhound is 10.5" tall 9 iches accross the shoulders, this is the card version, not sure how it compares to the FW resin

Only Gloria and Odin in the shop right now but we are planning on another nice large scale apoc battle sometime soon so will grab some pics if that ever happens ;)

29-03-2009, 11:40
holy ...

thats awesome, those are some purity seals :O

Great job

29-03-2009, 13:18
awesome, thanks for that Bulldog, cant wait for mine to arrive.

Am relieved that the armorcast one is still about the right scale compared to others.

:D Looks like the toe of something.

15-05-2009, 22:02
Just you watch, BullDog shows us a toe today, and tomorrow it's gonna be a finished Warlord Titan*.

Failing that, I'd guess Knight Titan cockpit?

[*in scale with the rest since Odin is considered "too big"]

looks like the thumb end of the reaver power fist thingy! if so, awesome!!

16-05-2009, 03:01
Warlord Power Fist!

16-05-2009, 04:02
Amazing! isn't that what it is? (or Will be.)

16-05-2009, 07:49
Powerfist for a warlord. it sort of (sort of!) looks like a finger. I think :p

16-05-2009, 08:12
Nice warlord, first time ive seen one:cool:

16-05-2009, 08:59
This is so cool.
Your idea of turning it into a battlefield is simply awesome.
imagine playing Necromunda on it!

Having said that...poor sods that are standing on that maintenance walkway.
I sure hope there isn't going to be an emergency causing the titan to move its arm or god forbid fire that gun ^^

16-05-2009, 09:10
I just have to say, both the quality of your work and the speed at which you accomplish it is simply stunning. Its great to see armies like this that are painted to a high standard from the common trooper to the largest war machine. I look forward to seeing more of the work you do, and Im also guessing towards titan fist.

18-05-2009, 17:15
Made up the basic parts, now onto the assembly and detailing!

The mother of all Close combat weapons!!!

You depress me so much...

18-05-2009, 18:59
OAHH, and i thought I was a NUTTER !!! :D

Love to see how that "PowerFist" ends up !!!!

Will stay tuned !

21-05-2009, 15:03
All the building stuff done, majority of it made from foam and coated with a light-weight plaster. The fingers are movable to allow me to play around with a few 'crushed enemies of the Emperor"!

Hopefully have some time to throw some paint on it next week and get some pics of it in situ on Odin, until then here's a few pics

All the joints on the fingers/wrist, elbow and shoulder move to allow me to strike the pose

That little dot just under the elbow joint is a 40k marine!

21-05-2009, 15:04

Claw stood next to the FW Reaver.......it's BIG!

The only way to travel!

And finally, Odin has a message to the Chaos machines out there

you, my man, are insane... utterly insane.... and I love it!!

21-05-2009, 15:32

Looking FREAKING good sir. Keep up the good stauff mate.

21-05-2009, 16:58

21-05-2009, 17:24
That is an awesome MEGA-FIST :p

Just wondering about the Reaver's missiles/weapon fire - are they removeable?
Because honestly, they kind of detract from how awesome they are (I've personally never liked 'modelled' firing, rather implied, maybe that's just me though)

21-05-2009, 21:07
Great fist youve made there !!! Love to see it painted !!

Keep it up !

21-05-2009, 21:08

Yes they can be removed, simply pinned so I can move them around vehicles and aircraft as need be. I like them, tend to add a little 'life' to an otherwise static model, look great in battles!

21-05-2009, 21:16
This is amazing... most warlord titans you see (for the rare times you actually do see them) are really roughly done, but the amount of detail you put into the hand alone is more than I've done on entire armies...

Good show :)

21-05-2009, 21:43
Love the power glove giving the finger ... this is definatly how you shouls model it!

24-05-2009, 12:23
I have slapped a little paint on the claw, hopefully get it test fitted sometime this week and get some pics, fingers crossed I won't have to fiddle about with the joints, built everything away from the Titan so everything was done with guestimation!

Made a couple of seals up to add a little interest, they are attached via magnets allowing them to be positioned depending on the more dynamic poses possible with the claw.

The whole thing is 2 feet from fingertip to shoulder, the actual glove itself isn't far off a 1/1 scale marine powerfist IMO (check out my hand next to the model) which has got my brain comptenplating all sorts of crazy ideas!!!
