Hey all,
this is a thread about the minis I own the longest.

Letīs see who of you knows what they are and who produced them.
The actual motivation to make this thread is not to puzzle you, but to paint this lovely old stuff.
I have a good amount of this stuff. Not all of them look that goaty.

I will give you hints.

It dates back to the beginning of the nineties. Its producer is not English, American nor French.
The weapon is a needler.

Good luck, Iīll update with more pics soon.

Looks like a very interesting thread. I've never seen this miniature before but I have to admit that I'm familiar with only very few ranges except for GW ones. Good painting too. Not really my style but the needler looks very cool from afar.

 I suggest you reread the posting guidelines (especially the paragraphs concerning "txt-speak" and caps-lock) once more and don't guess wildly. ;)

now think about what you said there.....Imperial and Beastmen. Beastmen would suggest genetic deviance which is a no-no in the Imperium except in two cases (Ogryns and Ratlings), both of which have mutations that make them significantly different to humans. Now back in the day Chaos could take Beastmen because they were liek the children of the dark gods (same shtick as they have in fantasy).

So yeah, The Imperium doesnt rock the anthropomorphic goats.

And back in the day, the Imperial Guard could take Beastmen regiments, too.

Like this old Citadel mini:

It's a big Imperium, no doubt some regiment somewhere still does.

Shhhhh...

Beastmen were never part of the IG just like Squats never existed and Land Raiders never came 2 to a box. :p

Yey! At least someone else other than me remembers these guys (along with the box of 3 Rhino's).
Beastmen with T4, 2 wounds and plama pistols...naughty as anything + cheap as chips...
Not forgetting the Penal Regiments who had exploding collars using big blast markers to kill people with.
Also, Terminator Cyclone launchers...ammo capacity of 12, could fire either 1 a turn or however many remained in the launcher in one go...krak missiles had a 1/2" radius blast marker each way back when, so find a juicy set of targets (e.g. vehicle squadrons, other Termies, etc) and let rip with a 6" radius, str 8 blast marker (doing D10 wounds -?- and saving at -6, I think?)...yummy!

Back to the thread at hand <ahem>...I don't think the 1st picture was a GW Beastman; I don't recall them being that detailed.

Yes, please. :)

I don't think the 1st picture was a GW Beastman; I don't recall them being that detailed.

The question was answered in the second reply actually.

Goddammit! I knew this would ruin it :p

Taerij, couldnīt you just have kept it for you a tad bit longer?

And sigur... ah, well, now the secret is lifted, a bit too soon for my liking, but who cares. Yeah, folks these minis are very cool, and in contrast to that imperial beastman from GW itīs not easy to say from what sides the molds halves came. In fact these pieces had ridiculously little moldlines, if any! And that dear people, 20! years ago.

This guy stands on a 20 mm base, the mini itself comparable in size to a ratling of today. Tons of detail as you see.

The company brought out dozens of different poses, as you can see in the link that Taerij posted.

Well then, expect more phagons, and of course other "races".

More to come soon!

Cheers,
Bart

Sounds almost too good to believe. ;) I didn't expect this fella to be that small. Makes the whole thing even cooler.

Well I was being honest. Give the images different names at least :)

It is riddling time again.
But first off, thanks for participating, and an update on the spacelords.

This is a "Bunkerbrecher". A human from the cybertech faction, the best equipped faction in this long lost universe. He pretty much embodies what termies do in space marine armies.
Not based yet, and I donīt know wether Iīll stick to that colour-scheme.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc286/gewaltherrscher/bb2.jpg

For comparison. The guy on the left is a phagon clone. The phagon faction has the beastmen and the clones as fighting units. Itīs lead, however, by, and thatīs the real story, by mad scientists who made weird experiments with humans.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc286/gewaltherrscher/group1.jpg

For a real size comparison. Thats an old termie btw. They were smaller than the actual plastics.

A warmachine of the phagons. Mark idontknow walker with badass cannon.

Now the riddle.

What or who are these three little pigs?

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc286/gewaltherrscher/notthistimedude.jpg

We will very fast forget about the paintjob. Itīs older than some of you are, and thatīs a pretty good excuse :D

However, they are as old as the other guys.

Letīs see who knows these...;)

Threadromancy at its best!

However, I have found out what the aforementioned aliens are.
If I am not mistaken these are biomech warriors, made by Acropolis miniatures.
That was ages ago. you will prob not find anything about them on the net.

Yep, this piece of info was worth reviving the thread!

cheers
