View Full Version : Tyranid splinter fleet, desert themed

29-07-2008, 18:49
EDIT: Hello! So I've been collecting and painting on these guys for about ten years now, though the progress comes in bursts. I'm currently bursting, and am finally within sight of finishing my few remaining models. This hive fleet is around 9300 pts as built [edit: 11,500]. Somehow, I ended up with six Lictors! [fortunately, I can use all six with the new codex.]

I'd like to present the work that's already done, and I'll update as I complete more.

3rd edition Tyrant, winged (his arms are now magnetised and swappable):
4th edition Sniper Tyrant:
Below: Note the enhanced senses, via gaunt arm trimmed as extra conduits from the brain.

29-07-2008, 20:52
Nice nids, I like the enhanced senses looks like an organic part of the model.

The quote in your signature mentions 9000 points, is that refering to your lot?

29-07-2008, 21:10
Yeah. That's built, but not all 9000 are painted. Pics of the painted guys first:

29-07-2008, 21:11

29-07-2008, 21:19
I only have 6 finished genestealers, the rest are in various states of garbage.

29-07-2008, 21:20
Nice nids. Like your malanthrope and the stealers, good scheme- they look different to the first tyrant- whats different?

Comrade Wraith
29-07-2008, 21:27
Blimey, what a coincedence, your army scheme is the same as mine! high five!:p

the difference is, it seems you will finish yours:)

29-07-2008, 21:30
Well, they are a little different, though they use the same color pallette. That first tyrant is one of my oldest models, and since then my painting has evolved. On the other hand, genestealers are to my mind, slightly less tyranid and more of a human dna mutant, so I expect them to look a little different than the rest of a given fleet. Along the same lines, the malanthrope is a dark and disgusting model, so I made it slightly darker in color too.
My color scheme uses 14 distinct colors, not counting blended mixes. And that's for my troops. Monstrous Creatures and etc have even more colors and detailing.
I'm comfortable allowing a little variation within my hive fleet. I have a "standard" paintjob, but some models deviate from it slightly. For example, my Trygon leans into the darker brown colors. I don't want his back armor all clean and desert tan. One of my fex's, the biggest nastiest one, is also a little darker and muddied in its colors. Though, all the models should be pretty obviously related.
Tyranids are a complex and constantly evolving race, organic and adaptive. It's not like the hive fleet just rolled out of a factory, like SM tanks do. My Red Scorpions will be very consistent with each other. The nids though, are themed for desert combat on a particular world (my home table) but slight variation is inevitable.

My fav:
The trygon is a little darker in color than most of the rest of my fleet. But then, he just emerged from underground.

29-07-2008, 22:16
Someday, when I have a free month or two, I'll paint him:

and my other fav, Old One Eye. I made his battle wound a little larger than stock.

Comrade Wraith
29-07-2008, 22:36
Excellent stuff, nice to see some of the previous edition models in there.

29-07-2008, 22:38
Once upon a time, I had a moment of genius. But it passes before I was able to capitalize on it. As a test, I built a tyrant with OOE's paintscheme. I thought, Old One Eye had to come from somewhere. Maybe the rest of his hivefleet was destroyed when he got frozen in the ice. MAYBE, the rest of his fleet might show up one day.
I love this idea. But as you can see, I have a lot of momentum with the whole brown-desert thing. It's too late for me.

Somebody run with this.

04-08-2008, 18:23
I now have enough troops to field an Endless Swarm for Apocalypse. Just finished trimming and assembling 32 more hormies, bringing the totals to:
32 Hormies, painted
32 Hormies, primed
32 Hormies, assembled (EDIT: Primed!)
32 Termaguants, painting in progress
32 Spineguants, painting in progess (EDIT: Complete!)
32 Deathgaunts, primed

I can't wait to see the enemy "run out of ammo."
I'm currently working on finishing all these troops, but it's a brain bending task. Finished 11 more spineguants today tho.

Dude, this is huge ... HUGE!
Beautiful models too!
Are they all dipped or similarly shaded?
Or do you finish them off with a coat of glossy varnish?

Good stuff, hope you can get through all those masses and field that Apocalypse swarm.

04-08-2008, 19:43
Are they all dipped or similarly shaded?
Or do you finish them off with a coat of glossy varnish?

No, I don't dip. I'm using about 14 colors of craft paints; some blending, some washing, some drybrushing. And a matte acrylic aerosol sealer to keep them from getting chipped.

Thanks for the support!!

Finished and based 5 more termagaunts; WIP Tyrant guards to follow:
Lash whip WIP, green stuff pending:
There, ready for painting..
My "Army Transport"

07-08-2008, 20:51
One more Fex and I can field a "Mycetic Swarm" for Apoc. 5 fexes and 1 heirodule deepstriking together sounds like instant mayhem. I'll be building him next.

Also decided to switch my 3rd ed. Tyrant's weapons out: bottom pair of talons will become a pair of devourers.

Ongoing work: painting hundreds of troops, 3 tyrant guard, 1 zoey. Oh, and seven raveners. ha!

14-08-2008, 02:18
Here's 2 out of 3 guards complete:
Decided to add flesh hooks to the Broodlord:
and guess what's coming up the assembly line now....

14-08-2008, 03:14
Ferro, ur a very devoted tyranid collector/player.

my kudos.

14-08-2008, 03:32
Good looking army you have going there mate. I cant wait until you get that "free month or two" you were talking so we can all see the forgeworld beast fully painted!!!

14-08-2008, 03:37
Man you got a lot of stuff.

How long have you been collecting nids?

15-08-2008, 09:34
Really impressive horde you got there. And I like the army transport as well :)

Happy Chappy
16-08-2008, 14:25
lots of 'nids and with super heavy (is that the right expression here) ones too! great paint job by the way, the glossy carapaces fit in well. Makes me want to watch Aliens and Starship Troopers again.

16-08-2008, 21:27
Woot, tyvm guys!
I've been collecting since the 3rd edition Tyranid Codex came out (the one with OOE and Red Terror, and the Mutable Genus tables). I started with some mass ebay bargains, and built up from there. I can't remember exactly when that was, but seems like about ten years. There have been multiple years of down-time as hobbies got scrapped for more pressing concerns, but I'm back into it again.

I've completed the first round of drybrushing on the new heirodule, but there's not much to show yet. Will follow up in a few days.

17-08-2008, 10:05
Keep it going bug brother your dedication to bugs is much apreciated :)

Good job.

17-08-2008, 11:28
Beautifull army. Now give us some group shots! :D

17-08-2008, 13:27
Yum yum yum.
Thats a massive horde from just a few years collecting!
Great colour scheme and I love the magnets.
Now get painting! *cracks lash whip*

20-08-2008, 19:00
Lol, speaking of lash whips, here's my third Guard:

And I had another brilliant idea: Magnetizing carnifex arms can be tricky, cause the torso is hollow so it's hard to set a magnet inside the arm socket securely (I once dropped one inside and now he rattles). So, I used a screw.
It's superglued in, and it has enough mass to attract the arm-mounted magnet securely.
I'm retrofitting some of my fexes with Claws, to make use of the Crusher Brood in Apoc. This fex will remain shooty, but two more will have double claws each.
Thanks for the comments, and I will lay out the army for group shots soon.

20-08-2008, 21:25
Guard is looking nice. Good green paintjob and "slick" finish. I really like it.
Nice army all in all!

21-08-2008, 22:17
Ok, I got some group shots ready. What follows is almost everything I have, though lots of it is WIP and PIP.
In the forground is an Endless Swarm (192 troops):

21-08-2008, 22:30
Wow, just wow. What a sight to behold.

Very impressive, makes me wanna get to work on my mostly unassembled Tyranid army I got around the time the new Codex came out...

22-08-2008, 03:02
Man! That army is huge!!!

Looks awesome, you have everything forgeworld offers for nids.

22-08-2008, 15:30
wow man,

now i wish i was deploying on the other end of that table,

and wishing it was a verry big table indeed :D

thats the first time i see something where i would want to use the rapidfire function of the plasmablastgun against, 2 scatering 7" blasts, who cares theyll hit alot of bugs anyways :D

i can only hope i can someday achieve an equally grand mostly painted army as you have,

23-08-2008, 01:41
Ah, splendid group shot. It looks a real horde! You've tempted me to take a group pic of mine now!
Any tips on the construction of your hierophant titan? I'm asking around the forums for some advice before I start mine.

23-08-2008, 02:15
Any tips on the construction of your hierophant titan?

He's rather fragile. The biggest problem with the model is the tendency for the four scything talons which are his feet to bend. It seems the model can't support its own weight very well. To remedy this, I made sure the two front legs make ground contact as near to perpendicular as possible, to minimize the deflection. Also, I added some greenstuff to the talons to beef them up. The rear legs will strike the ground at about a 60 degree angle so over time they will bend if you don't do something about it. I store my titan semi-suspended such that his back legs aren't even in use. So far, so good.

As with any resin model, wash the heck out of it before you begin assembly/painting. Good luck.

Finished my third Zoanthrope today:

Almost done with the last twelve spineguants...

23-08-2008, 02:45
Man, your sig makes some sense. Great army, great theme. I always liked the "natural" nids armies most, since I think they are bugs, and they should look like bugs!
Makes me want to pick up my little Tyranids project again. But I think that must be postponed. Until then I will follow yours.

Keep it up!

23-08-2008, 07:35
Well, they say Everything's bigger in Texas, and I guess this applies to their Hive Fleets too.

Great stuff.

28-08-2008, 03:00
Finished the brood of 32 spineguants today.
Magnetised five pairs of crushing claws today, and am in the process of making most (not quite all) of my Tyrants and Fexes have interchangeable magnetized weapons. It's like building an arsenal for my MC's. I can stick deathspitters, devourers, talons, crab claws, etc to the roof of my toolbox, and equip as needed for a game. I'm stoked.

Also working on 12 more genestealers, and my 7 raveners will need attention soon.

02-09-2008, 22:19
I think, I need to buy more gaunts now ;)

Magnets FTW. I wish I would have done that with my carni's. Need to get 2 more and definatly magnetizing.

04-09-2008, 20:32
Ok, I've seen so much awesome greenstuff work around the forum, I finally got my courage up to do some actual sculpting myself. I wasn't satisfied with my 'Bonded Exoskeleton' so I tried something that resembles what's on the underside of the Heirodules:
I like this much better, and can't wait to paint it up.

29-09-2008, 14:37
I've also never been happy with the example biomorph pics for reinforced chitin on the GW website. To me they look like a chemical burn. So..... again takin inspiration from larger and stronger nids, I've extended the ridges of the back plates and added some tendons/texture underneath the lips, like what's on the hierodules.
It's a subtle effect, or at least I think it will be subtle once it's painted. But nid players should notice right away. Cheers.

29-09-2008, 20:19
Nice ideas and work mate. The reinforced chitin look impressive, but it is difficult to tell from these pictures how different they are from normal nids. Can you take a picture of two together so we can see them together?

07-10-2008, 15:50
per request, a normal carnifex back:
and now my gs 'reinforced chitin' back plates, painted:
As I anticipated, it is a subtle change. I like it very much. Kinda makes me think of this carnifex as a juvenile or pre-pubescent heirodule.

24-10-2008, 16:51
Hello again, I've been busy. The Tyrant now has two sets of painted and magnetized devourers. He's done (and btw, amazingly effective against IG armies. He kills 5-6 every time he shoots, usually four or five rounds of shooting).
I threw some paint on some objective markers:
And I did finish that squad of twelve genestealers. Only one has the flesh hooks, the rest hold on to his ankles while he scales impassible terrain:
Also made some real progress painting the Barbed Heirodule.
Based 64 hormaguants (they kept falling over without any gravel on them).
And building one more carnifex to fill out a solid Behemoth Crusher Brood for Apoc. That will make three with double crab claws, plus one more I could proxy as double claws (his talons are really glued in there.. I tried to remove them an almost broke the arms in half). Anyway, cheers!

Comrade Wraith
24-10-2008, 16:57
Beautiful job on the ol' markers there, and that Tyrant looks nice and deadly.

24-10-2008, 17:25
Really love the colourscheme, and love the forge world models, really like how youve modelled the extended carapace aswell, really inventive.
congrats, consider me offically subscribed.

Cheers, Woody:chrome:

24-10-2008, 18:29
how do you paint your ''nids'' what primer did you use?

24-10-2008, 18:41
how do you paint your ''nids'' what primer did you use?

Ha. Funny thing about my primer... I use Rustoleum spray paint, either brown or black. If you have a gentle touch, and give it two or three light passes, it works great. And it's tough as nails, and my other paints stick to it fine.

I would never ever prime my space marines that way, it's too easy to ruin them. But my nids can take it.

Everything else is a complex and indescribable combination of painting, washing, and drybrushing, rewashing, redrybrushing, nitpicking, and clear sealing. Got it?

Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement.

28-10-2008, 02:40
Ok, bonded exoskeleton completed--painted in the base color, washed in umber, then lightly washed in reds, then drybrushed highlights:

Also, my Barbed Hierodule (ebay purchase, grr) had the front of his face armor broken off. Musta been dropped. So anyway, I now have an excuse to have a 'dule with a slightly custom face:
I am an amateur sculpter at best, but I'm hoping it will look continuous once it's painted.

As of now, my main 2000pt list is fully painted, with the exception of one squad of genestealers. I need to finish them, but I keep getting distracted with cooler stuff.

28-10-2008, 09:05
Impressive sculpting mate. I would appreciate if you could give a bit of a guide how you get the 'bone' effect you have got on the mouth above.

29-10-2008, 17:01
Hmm. Well as I said I'm no expert, but there's nothing that complex about using a razor knife to try and match the existing texture. It helped letting it set up for about ten hours. I actually went back and worked it more thoroghly since then, and after painting the result is:

29-10-2008, 17:50
aaw you shouldve added some nostrils :D

but really, looks fine, if you dont tell pple i doubt theyll notice the hyrodule went sphinxy on you :)

29-10-2008, 19:18
Smart green stuff work! I like the bonded exoskeleton. *pinches idea*

10-11-2008, 07:19
Hey Ferro, those look great. You should definitely bring some of those bigger bugs to the store next time you're around, I'd like to see them up close. I really like how you paint your nids - they're well painted and "in the lines", so to speak, but they are gritty and dirty at the same time. Just like a bug should be. I dig.

13-11-2008, 15:11
Finished the Barbed Heirdodule this morning:

13-11-2008, 15:22
The scheme is cool... and man thats a lot of bugs.

13-11-2008, 15:38
Great blog! *subscribes* Love to see more army pictures :D
Im personally a bigger fan of strong contrasting colours, but its good to see some variation for a change! Havent seen many brown nids, not my fav colour but certainly original and a great theme, i always like themed armies! Your progress is impressive!

13-11-2008, 16:35
wow these are so cool i m definetly subscribed :D just keep up the good work:D

15-12-2008, 23:59
Coming up soon: Six carnifexes, with fully magnetized and swappable arms. The Behemoth Crusher Brood is *SICK* in Apocalypse games, I love that formation.
12 pairs of crushing claws, magnetized. To be painted soon....

16-12-2008, 01:33
Very nice indeed! Love the colour scheme, I'm about to embark on a year of orkz and nids so must decide on a suitable scheme. Another subscription for another fine log :D

16-12-2008, 05:51
That's HOW many crushing claws? Simply crazy. Can't wait to see all those carnies put together and with a bit of paint :p

05-01-2009, 13:05
Ferro,Those are some nice looking bugs, and I thought I had a thing for FW!

05-01-2009, 14:01
Thanks Valo. Thank you guys.

I used six carnifexes with double crushing claws in a nice Apoc game, to great effect. A small battle summary (it's not quite a report) is at http://warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176994

I'll be painting up the last of my nids this week, getting ready for a new tournament. So expect some new carnifex pics here soon. Take care, all.

05-01-2009, 14:14
Crazy amount of Carnifexs but I love it! Nice idea using the magnets as Crushing Claws aren't always suitable for standard games. Good luck with painting them all.

05-01-2009, 14:38
Wow, this makes my 4000 pts look quite pedestrian. Just basecoating and washing the gaunts nearly killed me.

Well done sir. You've done justice to all the FW stuff (and I can't see the join on the heirodule's nose). Really good colour scheme, particularly evident in those horde shots.

07-01-2009, 15:53
Wow, this makes my 4000 pts look quite pedestrian. Just basecoating and washing the gaunts nearly killed me.

Ha! I've been working on this nid army for about eight years, I think. I died a loooong time ago. The trick is to not let that get you down. (Hell I still have three and a half full broods of gaunts ahead of me, gah!)

So... tiny update. This fex is still Painting In Progress, but I finished his greenstuff BioPlasma inside his Tusked head:
I intend to have him finished by the end of this week.

07-01-2009, 23:01
Ha! Finished by next day! My second uber-fex, now complete:

Also, after much playtesting I realized my Warriors had no need of their venom cannons, so I rebuilt one with a barbed strangler instead:

14-01-2009, 22:25
really nice, I like your conversion on the Carnifex keep up the good work!

15-01-2009, 15:18
very nice. Ive restarted my tyranid project and can only hope to achieve the numbers you have. keep it up!

One thought pops in to my head when I see your army, RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

24-01-2009, 14:00
I see that, instead of putting rare earth magnets in the fex's torso, you just drilled screws in it. Needless question maybe considering you did it, but does this work just as good? Maybe you can explain how u did it? Like put greenstuff in the socket and drill a ??? milimeter screw through it?

25-01-2009, 04:33
Hi there. Ya the problem with trying to insert magnets into the fex body is that it's hollow, and there's a very good chance the magnet might fall in during instalation. Then you get a carnifex that rattles when you shake him.
I'm not saying it can't be done, it's just needlessly tricky. So, I used screws.

Use a pin-vise to predrill holes in the arm sockets, then just screw in the screws (I added a drop of superglue to the threads). No chance of them falling inside the body.

Now, how secure are they? ... everything attatches fine except for the large size talons, which are a bit heavy and tend to rotate down to the table. It's made me curse them a few times. Anything smaller than the large talons is fine though.

EDIT: I have lately replaced the front pair of screws with some that are a bit larger, and the problem is solved. The big talons are stable.

Sculpt a tiny greenstuff cross or bar matching the screws position relative to the arm on the magnet and use that to brace it? Sounds like the magnet holds but due to the sheer weight the arm rotates.
If it has something to rest against I think it'll hold just fine. It's a bit fiddly, but I could see it work.

21-02-2009, 19:13
This sir is simply amazing.... i am so happy tears are pouring.

10-03-2009, 00:56
Alright, I never took pics of this guy in his greenstuff stages, but it's the same treatment on his back plates as on other carnifexes seen above. This time though I added the more traditional extra carapace piece too, as seen on the GW site. So behold, another Extended Carapace, Bonded Exoskeleton, and Reinforced Chitin carnifex:

10-03-2009, 03:47
Holy crap, dude. I thought my 4k of nids were impressive, but this is absolutely insane! :D

07-06-2009, 06:50
Fantastic work fella, loving the green stuff work and the screw/magnet combo. Good work.
Do you have a target force size? it would be awesome to get a total force photo if such a thing is possible!!?

26-06-2009, 00:23
My second painted lictor. I have six of these guys, and I only ever painted one of them, years ago. I'm pleased to say I've gotten much faster... this one took me about three hours, including basing and clearcoat:

Next up, something a little bigger:

At first assembly, minus her head:

26-06-2009, 07:25
wowow i cannot wait to see that painted =D
Great work on the lictor. I havent really made them work for me yet (i have one now) but i really like the battlefield role so might just buy a couple more for the fun of it. Wish i could paint them in three hours...that would motivate me hehe!
Keep it coming!

26-06-2009, 07:59
So cool. It will be epic when they're all painted. Except for that, all I can say is RUN AWAY!!! RUN AWAY NOW!!!

26-06-2009, 08:26
Oooh a Harridan. I am thinking of getting one in the next few months. How did you find it to construct? Have you used magnets for the wings there? If so did you drill out part of the body as well? How secure are you finding the wings?

26-06-2009, 10:02
Awesome army there Ferro- really like the proportions you've collected it in[if that makes sense!]. The endless swarm is very impressive- I thought I was being brave aiming for 100 gaunts- looks like I'll have to up my game!
Brilliant work- looking forward to seeing the crusher brood and that harridan looks like an excellent addition.

26-06-2009, 11:49
thanks mate, just stared a nid army and hadnt the slightest clue where to begin with painting. i was going for desert world to match my other armies, so will be shamelessly pillaging your ideas

26-06-2009, 13:35
Thanks for the support and comments everyone.

...Do you have a target force size? it would be awesome to get a total force photo if such a thing is possible!!?
I do not have a specific points goal in mind; it just grows when I want to try something new. I'm over 10k already, and for the moment at least, there is nothing else for me to buy (what a relief that is!). I'll try to set up a new army shot soon.

...Great work on the lictor. I havent really made them work for me yet (i have one now)...
Lictors are a mixed bag. As I said, I have six but only ever use one for normal missions--and only occasionally. I did manage to field all six once as part of a Genestealer Infestation. THAT was AWESOME.

Oooh a Harridan. I am thinking of getting one in the next few months. How did you find it to construct? Have you used magnets for the wings there? If so did you drill out part of the body as well? How secure are you finding the wings?
Hi Alex. Like all FW and most GW kits in general, the Harridan needed a little love to fit together. But to be honest, it was nothing serious or difficult. The right wing had to be trimmed down almost 1/4" to fit inside the socket on the body, and I used hot water to straighten both ScyTals and tweak the tail. Compared to many other kits, this went together like a dream.

I special ordered some larger magnets for the wings. 1" x .25" x .25". Dremeled holes to match in the body section and the wings, and superglued the magnets in, then greenstuffed to fill any gaps. Those magnets are very strong, perhaps slightly too strong for this. But it's a solid connection and they won't fall out, so I'm happy.

thanks mate, just stared a nid army and hadnt the slightest clue where to begin with painting. i was going for desert world to match my other armies, so will be shamelessly pillaging your ideas
I'm honored. Cheers.
If I start to see too many more 'desert' brown nid armies, we're gunna need to come up with a unified Hive Fleet name. It's growing from a Splinter Fleet into an incursion of its own!

Lictors! Good to see someone using them.

Can't wait to see what you do with the harridan. Good to hear it wasn't a death trap to put together, i've had bad experiences with my forgeworld models.

So do you use the screws as a base for the magnetization?
I like that idea. It would save me alot of time too.

So do you use the screws as a base for the magnetization?

Yes, though it doesn't work quite as well as I'd hoped. The magnets imbedded in the arms certainly stick to the screws, but the larger arms like the giant ScyTals tend to rotate down to the table. Either slightly larger screws or slightly stronger magnets would fix this.

EDIT: I have replaced the small sized screws with slightly bigger ones, and it solves the problem.

Update for today:
Heirophant primed brown
Harridan primed brown
finished the last 16 termagaunts
based all 32 spinegaunts with gravel
-washed same to bring out a bit more armor detail

And an old old friend is coming out to play after many years retirement...

I wanted another elite fex with barbed strangler and talons... and I remembered I have this guy. My newest/olded elite carnifex! This is one of my very first, if not the first paintjob I did for this army.

Nice job man. Can't wait to see that Harridan ready!

I second that that ^ ^.
Nice army btw. Not really into Tyranids, but am now! :)

27-06-2009, 12:57
Whey your back working on the tyranids. I might have to start work on mine too once I can finish these 10 Deathwing Termies. Got like 40-50 gribblies to do :S

Nice army, mate.

I'd poop myself if I had to face your entire army with all that ugly badass in it!

I knocked out some Meotic Spores for the last Lucky 13 game. They more than made their points back, taking out a couple squads of troops and damaging some vehicles:

And I have a little treat to share:

Pff, the Terminator can totally win that. Why? Well because that's how things work of course. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ConservationOfNinjutsu?from=Main.ConservationOfNin jitsu)

As to the army, I love the desert scheme. Very well executed. I think you're also the first person I've ever seen manage a credible bonded exoskeleton conversion, which looks great by the way.

haha then a stray rock comes from nowhere and hits the terminator in a weak spot and he dies.

Beautiful Army. I have always wanted to do a Tyranid army and this really makes me wanna go out and spend some money now thanks alot haha. BTW I have always loved the previous Carnifex one of my favorite GW models

Thank you very much!

Behold, painted claws!
The Behemoth Crusher Brood will strike again, but this time with better paint.

Did I see your Nids features on the front page of Bell Of Lost Souls featured against Imperial Fists or is that someone with a similar painted army?

28-08-2009, 10:27
Now i am worried. I thought half of the nid players in my local club was scarey(sp?), but this makes me go through two pairs of pants, great job on them keep it up.

i solute you

That's probably me, my nids are on BoLS all the time. I have the good fortune to live in Austin, Texas and get to play against those guys every week. It's really bringing my game up.

the parasite looks unbalanced and a bit awkward, but the idea for the tail is fantastic.
