The worst model from the Harlequin package, but I love it so...

Note: Had to sharpen the pictures and they're taken at a funny angle considering the lightsource.

I've had this lying around for a while (got it from SilAx/AsianChicken a while back) and was looking forward to painting it. I wanted really desaturated, clown-like colours that reflected the work on Kosta's "Faust" and Jeremie's harlequin troupe master.

Tell me what you think!

Sorrrrry this took a while to update!

The first pic isn't very good, as you can see, a lot of the mini is dark (namely the tabard and the chainsword) but I have good pics of the rest in other shots.

Quick note: the harly is going to be touched up a bit before whatever contest I decide I make it to next. Otherwise.. I'd say its done :)

...and I'd say it's fine. Really fine pull-off with those tricky, bleak colours. May the painting prizes be of Aurum. ;)

This is not a Harlequin like I imagine one, refering to fluff or even other minis. But must say it is somehow irritating awesome, how did you got the paintjob look so bleaky?

A new mini!

The colours on the harlequin are all mixes, even the base-coats weren't straight from the bottle. This involved mixing colours from their opposites on the colour wheel for some parts (the cloth hanging from the figure's belt) and finding combinations that weren't quite any colour at all, and could be seen completely differently depending on whatever kind of light one is viewing the model under. I haven't quite achieved this, so I'll be shooting for it when I feel up to it.. not quite yet.. :p Thanks for the comments!

Grr for one reason or another, I'm not able to edit this bit in to describe the new figure WIP... anyhow..

A work in progress mini from Sebastian (automaton on CMON) Archer's new company. Been way too fun to paint so far :D, keep in mind the skin isn't near done so it and the other colours are still a bit sloppy at this point.
