Anyone got some background or fluff for this ork vehicle?

In older versions of Epic It was just a (possibly faster) Battle Wagon with a massive flame thrower instead of battle cannon type gun...

Nothing special fluff-wise.

Sounds like a perfect excuse for a new apocalypse datasheet.
Back in the days of epic the orks had all sorts of wacky vehicles.

Ok thanx for the reply, now i know. The orks sure got a lot of vehicles, enough for an "armoured company" a la orks. (and then some)

From the best game ever made by GW, Bowelburnas used to be "extra fast battle buggies built by the Evil Sunz clan." They were described as "lightly armoured, but wickedly fast" and sported a scorcher.

Dreachon has it. FW doesn't need to look far for inspiration. ;)

They also had a "spleenrippa" vehicle.

Didn't Armorcast do some 40k scale models of these back in the day?

Or was it a conversion/building guide in an old WD?

There was an old WD with an article on building ork vehicles from card, I dont think there was a bowelburna, but it did have templates for a lungbursta, gutrippa, bonebreaka and gobsmasha tanks.

Idk, it just sounds incredibly painful. perhaps it's a reference to a line breaking tank that is meant to break into the soft rear of an enemy force and therefore torch the tents, command stuff, hospitals (e.g. "bowels") of an army?

I would use it as a looted hell hound, modeled with wheels rather than tracks

Yes indeed, the bowelburna was a cool vehicle, as were lots of orks "tanks" from the old days. I don't know about the bowelburna, but the sleenrippa and gobsmasha have old armorcast models still out there.
