I started a empire army that is very backgroundish and i am trying to personalize the troops. there are 60 halberdiers and i have made the back two rows of each regiment sling their weapons over their shoulders horizontally and i was wondering if there is any way to get large wall type sheilds i like the bretonnian men at arms shields but they are attached to the whole sprue. plz help me i hate tiny shields!

It might be a bit tricky to stick metal shields to weak plastic arms, though. The Besiegers rock, though!

I think tomb king shields would looks the best, either that or pehaps making some out of plasticard, never used it before but pretty sure it should do the job.

Also dark elf shield might do the part too http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99080212001&orignav=13

Try getting some large diameter plastic tubing from Plastruct.

It has a thin wall cross section. If you can find some about one inch in diameter you should be able to slice some reasonable shields out of it.

You could also try the Chaos Warrior sheilds. File off the Star of Chaos, and there you would have some really big sheilds. Also, the old plastic Beastmen came with fair sized sheilds.

You can try Warlord games roman shields. The price of their boxsets are comparable compared to GW but you get almost double the stuff.
