hey guys tell me what you think. the army is designed to be farely WAAC. i would appreciate any comments.

Vampire-BSB, dreadknight, drakenhoff banner, balefire spike -285
20 zombies=80
20 zombies=80
5 Dire wolves=40
5 dire wolves=40
5 KoBK-std, banner of blood keep=370
necro- 2 power stones=105(primarily to cast vanhels)
power/dispel:4/4
tactic is victory points denial with main unit wich is worth 655 pts. while zombies take objectives and hold units and dogs prevent frenzied charges

I don't really see how you are going to win with this list, to be honest. Against a skilled opponent your lone unit of frenzied knights will never engage anything. The enemy can easily kill the zombies (and the wolves most likely) and take 3 table quarter. If your necromancer stays close enough to cast danse, he'll be vulnerable to enemy attack too since he really doesn't have any dependable bodyguards.

An army with a scroll caddy and a unit of fast cav will roll the army over without trouble, I'd imagine.

So will anyone with bolt throwers or a Lore of Beasts spellcaster.

heres the rivised list. total is 980 pts. i ahev 20 pts to spare and was debating giving the necro an additional spell or a steed? what do you guys think. also id appreciate any changes you guys would recommend im willing to change it but would like the army to remain very competetive.

"Remain" competitive implies it is in the first place. I'm sorry, but this is an underpowered army.

Strip the knights to be bare bones, 5 in the unit, and keep the general in an infantry block and make him a caster. He'll still be at least as tough as most characters you're likely to come across at 1k.

Or drop the knights altogether for Black Knights, change the zombies out for ghouls or skellies and use the spare points to turn the necromancer into a cast-vamp.

Without the blood knights the BSB doesn't need the drakenhof banner, so give him a war banner walking death instead (saving more points) and use him to solid-crack light enemy units. You have even have points for a Vargulf, which is a much better rare choice than the KotBK.

Your army is also illegal - the BSB can't be the general. You need another vampire.
