What is up with the Chill blade, does it auto-wound, or only if you fail a toughness test. It is horrendoulsly worded. THanks for any help.

Hardly badly worded.

Each hit, the enemy takes a toughness test...if failed they take a wound with no armour save. There is no roll to wound, merely to hit.

Very simple.
Doesnt auto-wound at all.
Good vs low toughness things, not so good vs high toughness things.

WOw, that is pretty worthless for the amount of points it costs

Think of it as a strangely worded way of making you S3 (but always wound on a roll of 6) and ignore armour saves and you won't be far off.

And the other rather useful effect of the blade.
It's not utterly worthless at all....more geared towards stopping things in their tracks.

Ws6 character, 3 attacks...hatred.
3 toughness tests, otherwise the other effect comes into play.

What's that mr. star dragon? Bit chilly are we?
I'll just sit here and wait for you to thaw out....and then I'll hit you with my sword again.

Even if all 3 attacks hit, that's only roughly a 42% chance of failing one out of 3.

If you include the chance to hit, it's actually only ~38% the dragon will be prevented from attacking. If you want to bank your 50 points on that, go ahead and I hope we play soon! ;)
