I like your elite fast army, but aren't you afraid that your black orcs won't do anything since they are slow compared to your other units?

yes, do you have suggestions on what to replace the black orcs with? I have only one special slot left after I remove the black orcs and no countermagic :(. maybe remove black orcs and add 10 squig hoppers and a giant? :evilgrin: I play at ETC tournaments (max 9 power dice), so I don't care about heavy magic lists... e.g. does this look better?

Well it would be nice to fit mork's spirit totem in somewhere, but 362 points just for the totem is a bit too much. I guess the only way of fielding it would be in a unit of infantry with a battle standard bear. I really can't give you an answer to this problem, I don't know what would work in a fast army.

By the way, the chariot mount for your big boss cannot have extra crew, it cannot take options.

No probs, other armies will have up to 9 power dice and in 2nd turn I'll be at their throats. In fact thanks for pointing out the black orcs slowness, I like the new army list much better :)

It's not only another attack, it's also immune to psychology and fluff.

Keep the wyvern behind your units and you will surely have more than 1 target available. This way it's hard to get baited.

I'd like to point out that any Orc on a Wyvern is Immune to Psychology. Terror and Fear at least. It's just worth having a 450+ point general baited, yes, hide him behind units, but all your opponent has to do is plonk a unit of cavalry bang in the middle and tu-dah! Bu-bye general.

It's a savage orc list, the general NEEDS frenzy! He can't just sit back like some human sissy without getting stuck in!:D

the wyvern gets an extra attack too due to the frenzied rider ;)

And I want him fighting on every turn of the battle except from the 1st. So I usually hide him behind a terrain and pop him forward on turn 1. After that he charges or flank charges anything within 20". At around 400 pts he is more expendable than e.g. other Lords on dragons e.t.c.

EDIT: Also, don't let people tell you that orcs suck. A similar list I made last week did very very good...

Remember that the wyvern is a large target and so, you can see over your units. As soon as a unit is within 20" of your general you have to charge it. I would put him in a chariot to keep him with the rest of the army. If not, he might end up in your opponent's side of the table as soon as your 1st turn if your opponent starts the game.

From a fluff perspective, I would only include forest goblin instead of night goblin, but I' a purist.

Take 2 giants. Place them in front of the S.O wyvern . They will block his line of sight. Think big:D. Bigger IS better.

well, as for your wyv. just try it out. with all of your ******* army charging everything all the time, at least he'll prolly be within 12" of some of your units.

but please, please please, take those standards off your night gobs... for gork's sake there are only 20 of 'em, NO BANNERS ALLOWED TILL YOU HAVE 36+ IN A UNIT OF GOBS.... AND A CHARACTER (pref. black orc...)

but this is definatly an inspiration to try a sav. orc list... maybe my buddy will let me call my regular orcs savages in a house game

I like the list.. (last revised one)

Would be fun to play against (and scary for my VC) I run it with 10PD but -1 never hurt anything... VC don't like fast scary frenzied orcs... AHHHHH

PS.. Two giants with the Wyvern behind is a good idea.. But a fluffy angry Savage Orc on a Wyvern is not going to hide behind some giants. Pick the biggest scariest thing you can find and shoot him at it..

It's not like the orc on the wyvern have 360 charge arch now is it. I see no problem with the lord, he only takes some clever placing in the first two rounds. Also the calling waagh in your second turn will let him move the lord from behind a terrain feature and into a chargealicious position.

As somebody else pointed out, the frenzy flying monster has been featured before with no big problems.

I like it. Class list!
