I've been a bit out of the loop recently and was wondering if there are any known plans for the future of Battlefleet Gothic.

Supposedly there was going to be a 2nd edition of the game incorporating all the rules changes and errata that have accumulated over the last 5 years. HOwever with the massive upheaval of Specialist games and Fanatic getting reabsorbed by GW proper, I think that has been postponed indefinately.

Well, thanks for the info, even if it isn't what I want to hear. )=

Any news on the long delayed Endevour miniature?

There are a few unreleased ships, a Khorne battleship and "Mars" pattern Imperial ones.

You can see both at Dysartes.com (http://www.dysartes.com/rumours/specgames/gamesday031004.php)

Based on best info I've heard/read recently, there will be no Endeavour miniature in the foreseeable future: the one Specialist Games had its mold ruined, and they don't plan to re-work it. Forge World does have it on their "potential to-do" screen, but that'll be a loooong time coming..... a year at the least, likely quite a bit more.

"Semi-insiders" to the BFG Rules Review process say several things are already in the pipeline, and there are long-range plans for even more things for BFG, so support is still being given. But with the reduced staff at Specialist Games, releases will of necessity be slower than in the past, as they'll be trying to support all of their stable of seven-plus games with fewer full-time personnel.

BFG rules updates and additions are highly likely moving to an "All-online" format, with the exception of the printed supplement Armada for the time being. The original rulebook and many of the previously-published BFG articles are already available at the Specialist Games BFG website (http://www.specialist-games.com/battlefleetgothic/default.htm) as PDF files. Rules Review additions and updates will almost certainly be posted online there.

There will be no printed "BFG version 2" rulebook or a newly-issued or re-issued boxed game set in the near or not-so-near future, although that is still a long-term possibility, according to "semi-insider" opinions again.

Thanks for the links. Those new imperial ships look really cool. At least not all the news is bad. (=
