I want to write my Chapters history but have no idea where to start basically i own a large space marine army chapter name Crimson Ravens i bought a whole **** load of techmarine parts and bits with Bionics and augmentations on them recently so began the idea to make my chapter into allies of the Omessiah.

But if I remember correctly not many chapters give themselves over entirely to the Adeptus Mechanicus in a way its Imperium first Mechanicus second the Iron Hands are one chapter that i think take this further with their belief of weakness in flesh

but basically i need help and any would be appreciated

You're right, no marine chapter would ever put the AdMech before the Imperium of Mankind, or venerate the Omnissiah. There are only two kind of loyalist marines: those who revere the Emperor as a God and those (usually first-founding chapters) that rever Him simply as an extraordinary man.

You can still have a chapter with strong bonds to the AdMech, however: just say that in the planetary system where they have their HQ there's a Forge World of the AdMech, and they recruit new marines from industrialized or hive worlds.

That could justify your chapter bonds with the Adeptus Mechanicus.

no marine chapter would ever give themselves fully over to the admech. however the admech, Mars specifically, are the ones that maintain the geneseed that marines use to bolster their numbers or form new chapters. they also build most of the initial equipment so marine chapters can be self-sustainable.

over the millenia records have been lost, misplaced, or destroy. many chapters have cropped up for various reasons. the admech are a very secretive organization that keeps their own devices and intentions as best away from the prying eyes of the inquisition/administratum. whose to say that the admech don't have a few 'allied' marine chapters to assist their skitarii regiments?

Well, seeing as how one way they test the gene-seed is to implant it into a near catatonic human, who's to say that they wouldn't surreptitiously implant it in a few more "awake" specimens? Disguise them as Skitarii or larger servitors, who are well known for for having both great equipment, and biological and technological enhancements, and bribe a few inquisitors along the way.

precisely. though you wouldn't really need to bribe them all too much, as i doubt many have access to Mars. and those that do, would really wanna risk a schism over possible 'misunderstanding'?

It's not entirely unprecedented for marines to be in a chummy relationship with the Adeptus Mechanicus. I don't think it would be permitted for marines to be wholly under the command of the Mechanicus, but there's nothing to stop a chapter cultivating close bonds with them - after all, marines are autonomous bodies, and so can presumably align themselves as they wish as regards other wings of the Imperium.

There are a couple of chapters I can recall from the fluff with backgrounds like this, but I find myself completely incapable of remembering their names. One is a chapter which works with the AdMech on R&D. The other was secretly produced by the AdMech from tithed geneseed, but discovered by the Imperium and confiscated. Perhaps someone with a better memory than me can recall their names.

i cant rmember where this is from, but i believe a chapter called 'the scions of Mars' were secretly created by the admech.

on a more reliable note the new marine codex mentions the iron hands having close ties with the ad mech and the praetors of orpheus even more so than the hands. so it isnt beyond the realms of possibility to make an admech aligned chapter, or you could use an existing one such as the preators.

That is because Space Marines are "apart" from the Imperium's usual political structure. Even the Grey Knights, arguably the most devoted of the Ordo Malleus' lapdogs and utterly lacking the willpower to disobey a puritanical sounding order, fancy themselves an independant political entity. Heck, the Iron Hands' relationships with the AdMech are highly strained because the IH are bull-headed and just don't like being told what to do even when their closest friends are the ones dispensing advice. The Mentor Legion is probably the most on the level. They're the ones who get "experimental" gear. But even they would object to being known as subservient to the will of the Mechanicus.

In terms of being "allies" of the Mechanicum, you can go about it in several ways. For example, the Marines may have discovered yet another partial STC, making them the Mechanicus' Best Friends Forever. The Marines might even restrict access to it, having made a good enough case to the Mechanicus that it is safer in their care. Donations and instruction from the AdMech make it even safer. Or consider the realm of philosophy. A chapter convinced of some of the precepts of the Machine God (like the Universal Laws, from >>here (http://www.specialist-games.com/assets/emplorwarband.pdf)<<) may make good allies. Any chapter from a suitably tech-focused planet would be good, too.

And when it comes to having lots of augmetics, you can branch out however you like. There are much more practical reasons than "hating the flesh." There may be some weakness in the geneseed--perhaps some particular organ the chapter is willing to replace with an augmetic. Or maybe they just see the benefits of extensive modification. It's not that the flesh is weak, it's just that there are "objective" benefits to augmentation.
