I have completed the 1st full draft of the Nautican army list
Nautican Army intro (link to army list and discussion forum) (http://battlereporter.blogspot.com/2008/09/new-army-for-warhammer-fantasy-battle_23.html)
(hopefully this will be deemed to be news ?)

Once the army has the "thumbs up" from the Warhammer community I will change it into a free pdf download on my blogsite.

Feel free to leave comments.

interesting and well realized ;)
but, I can't imagine merfolks fighting with WoC or the Empire in a clasic green-grass-open field.

anyways, good job!

PS: any ideas of wich figures to use? Maybe Komodons from Dragonrune? o something from Reaper?

Thanks for the comment Nesbet.

I am going to post up a list of suggested miniatures in the "deployment" section. I think I might have a problem with the Jellyfish though ! :)

Thanks for the Komodans suggestion, they look quite fitting, especially the unit standard bearer (the standard looks like a net)

I have had a look at the reaper models and they've given me permission to add pictures to the site. They have a good giant crab and the sea elves might be good for sirens and nautican lords and heroes.

I'll post back here when I have updated again.

Thanks for reading,
Sigmar

Nautican Army Book Cover (http://lh6.ggpht.com/_ts1HdLGjywM/Sa8HDrCEPGI/AAAAAAAAE2g/umIjPpqeS24/s1600/NAUTICAN_ARMY_BOOK_COVER.jpg)

The Nautican Army (http://naut1.blogspot.com) has been updated to draft 3.0, main changes:- (http://naut1.blogspot.com/2008/08/army-list-changes-summary.html)

- new Army Wide Special "Sea Creature Origins" rule
- new units (Interceptors, Coral Hunters, Crest Riders, Tripoon)
- new special character (Vortex) + other character tweaks
- new character "mounts" (Royal Chariot, The Eternal Wave, The Great White Titan)
- tweaks to existing magic and several new magic items
- removal of undead mariners & undead characters

Current status : working on background fluff, sourcing suitable models and a draft 3.0 pdf.

We could really use some help playtesting... If you're interested then just play a game and send me the feedback (or even better a battle report which we can publish on the Nautican site).

I will have the Nautican Army updated to draft 4 this week and it will go online sometime before new year as a pdf.

I also started a Design Notes blog some time ago which I probably didn't tell you about here. It's where I tend to post things I'm thinking about for the army and my ideas before they go into "production". You can find it below in my signature.
