ancient
total 194

3 terradons
brave
total 115

3 sallies
total 195

army total 1998pts

dispel dice 5

I plan to put the bsb in with the 23 saurus block and im gona use the jag in conjuction with the the terradons to terrorise a flank and hopefully assist the mainline of the army. depending on wat the jag warrior goes up against im gona have him flexible with ethier 9 attacks on the charge wit str 5 or 6 attacks on the charge with a great weapon and wit the assistence of the terradons should easily be able to break most of the enemies flanking units. Ima gaurd my saurus units and kroxigors with the limited skinks i have and try and suffer as few casulties as possible before getten into the thick of things. im hopen to bait the opponent wit the skinks and get some important chargers off wit the kroigor units.

well thats my list plz give me some advice and let me know wat u think

cheers

Thats not a bad list, alot of points going into unnessasery upgrades though, eg kroxigor ancient, 20 points for a single attack, when you have 3 already, also with the champion an uber character (tm) can charge, challenge, spank and the other 2 cant do nothing.

also is there no blessings you can drop, just it seems like you dont have much atall, i spose its those saurus.

a list i have had ALOT of success with is 1 old blood, 3 preists, 50 skinks, 8 terradons, 8 krox and 6 sallies.

not much magic deffense either.

personally, i would drop 3 saurus from the unit with blessings, 2 from the other, and then keep BSB in the (what is ATM) 20man block, also drop the 2 units with javalins ancient, and possibly brave. WIth these points i'd boost the krox too 4 each, terradons too 4, and try too squeeze points for another Tepok mark.

Thats what i would do, that doesnt alter your list too much.

hmm so u reckon 5 dispel dice isnt enough then.. maybe i should add a skink priest wit diadem of power to add 3 dd that will bring me up to 8 will that be adequate for a 2000pt battle. the only reason i upgraded the kroxigor to an ancient was so that i could challenge unexpected heroes and whoop there ass wit my uber str is there anythin wrong wit that tactic?? i was kind of relieing on 3 ranks from the big block of saurus so that my cr would end up in my favour as at base cr the unit would be 3 for ranks + bsb war banner 2 + 1 standard and hopefully outnumber 1 wit a total of 6-7 plus kills is there anything wrong wit this tactic and i decked em wit bs to take upo the rare slot and quetzl is pretty important when i wana keep em wit as little casuilties as possible. hmm 6 sallies would be kinda cheezy as they r rather overpowered espically at taking out skirmishes and light cav :p and as an additional flanken unit wit 6 str5 attacks a lil nutz lol. bt yeh ill consider it ill post an updated army soon wat r ur thoughts on my tactics wit the saurus block etc

I do not believe you're allowed mundane extra weapons when you have already taken a magical one - you must always use the magical weapon, even if it is not optimal in the situation.

JSoD's are great, but having the general of your army rush away from it isn't so great.

QFT.

I'm a VC, and I use a "JSoD" type char, but it sure as heck isn't my general!

It's a flying great weapon, or a dread knight. Usually the latter (though he's a little slower and less mobile).

:pI would cull the Cold One from under your Scar Vet and put your Oldblood in a unit. If you don't he will be picked off by magic or combat resolution more times than not. If your going to stick with those relatively big Saurus blocks, each would best be led by a Saurus charchter. You can always split them off later when you have gutted a few magic users and warmachines LION
