I'm not sure I like the 400+ point lord at 2000 points so any advice for reducing his cost would be great

Cheers

You could take his powers and magic items away. That would save a lot of points

what are th ecorpse carts armed with and how have you found them to work in your games so far?

Thats my mistake, the corpse carts have bale fire. As well, they've done pretty well in the couple games I've tested the list in, but I usually put necromancers on them so they can join skellington units, except against dwarves, stupid cannons

Looks like a good list. Still, you should always put musicians on your guys if possible. Make sure to find points to put one on your black knights. If you tie with someone and your opponent doesn't have one, you'll be pissed that you didn't make them roll a break test.

No armour on your vamps at all? Do you feel comfortable with that?

The lord has Walach's blood hayberk, bu other thenthat I'm not sure. I could take Avatar of death and dark acolyte, but then I wouldnt be able to take the Master power

I would suggest switching Walach's Hauberk for Flayed Hauberk and Helm of Commandment on your lord. HoC is too good to not take, and the 5+ ward from Walach's is too unreliable to really be better than Flayed Hauberk anyway. Alternately you could give him Wristbands of Black Gold if you're not planning to get him into combat.

You should consider mounting your BSB. 20 points for better AS, more movement and the option to run him with the Black Knights seems like a good deal.

Put your BSB on a barded skeletal steed.
