I recently finished building and painting my 2000pt Orc army and was thinking about putting in some ogres to fill in my second rare choice. Ive always been partial to the models but i was wondering is it tacticly viable.

My orc army looks like this:

boss on wyvern
bsb spirit totem
naked black orc hero
goblin scroll caddy
3 large blocks of boys
unit of NG with 3 fanatics
2x 5wolf riders
4X bolt throwers
boar chariot

So my question is has anyone used ogres in an OG army as flankers, do they complement the army nicely or would i be better off with another giant?

Also if ogres, which ones Irongut or plain bulls. Im no a fan of leadbelchers fluff wise.

Well... Since I always was a fan of warcraft, I totally dig Ogres with Orcs. So that's good.

I think ogres are good, if you want something like Trolls, but don't like stupidity. Ogres could be good flankers, and since you lack heavy cavalry, I can see the Ogres more or less fullfilling that role.
I would go with Ironguts, but I can see normal bulls work too.

My vote would be for ironguts. You need a unit to add kills and ironguts are the best bang for your buck in that department.
