hey guys i need your help creating a very competetive dwarf armylist. here's what i was thinking:


20 warriors-shlds, standard, chamion=200
19 longbeards-shlds, full command, Rune of courage, ancestral rune=293
10 thunderers-shlds=150

20 hammerers-shlds,fullcommand,rune of courage=320
BT-engineer, Rune of flame=65
BT-engineer, Rune of penetrating, Rune of flame=80

Organ gun=120

I was thinking about dropping the thunderers in favour upgrading on of my thanes to a BSB and adding a runesmith, what do you guys think?
also is my magical defense, 4 dispel dice enough?
help me out guys any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

1) Magical defence for 1500pts should be sufficient.

2) The list looks fine and the 4 Bolt throwers will certainly worry most opponents but 3could also be sufficient and might release points for other purposes. Maybe 1 Rune of Skewering by taking out an infantry model or 2 somewhere?

3) No need for a BSB if you've got Ancestral rune for Longbeards. Hammerers won't break unless you're unlucky.

4) A Ward save for one of your Thanes (the general) is worth considering

i think you can get away with 2 BT in 1500pts, if you come accross armies with few ranks or multiwound creatures there not very useful a unit of Xbows or thunderers if you can afford it will give you another unit thats capable of CC aswell as good at shooting.

i think 20 hammerers and longbeards could be a bit too much at this level also, maybe drop a rank. and see about another thane maybe and some runes to make them a bit more survivable or even a BSB which is always handy.

so add another thane and drop the longbeards in favour of more warriors and drop BT for rune on thanes. isnt 3 charachters too many for 1500
