So, I don't do much terrain work, but every once in a while, I like to binge on some objective markers :P The other day I had a crazy idea for an Ork Missle, and it all kinda snowballed after that. I'm currently looking into some Mordhiem work and hopefully that, coupled with my set designer friend, will force me in to make some more terrain pieces. Other things I've done in the past arn't very mentionable except a very cool Tomb Kings Monolith that I had made, but unfortuneatly was stupid enough to use spraypaint on it... though it may be resurected/redone sometime in the future.

I made this one a while back. It's made from insulation foam that was leftover from when our bathroom was redone, I snagged a nice chunk of it. It was really tough to make the inside of it so it's a bit odd in there. When/if it's finished, I'll paint it like water and maybe a bit mossy, then put some glue inside to make it like a little bird bath.

This is a little fave of mine ^.^ just a simple little bump covered in variouse sizes of greenstuff mushrooms. I used 2 different things for makeing the gravel, some wierd sprakly dust stuff and some gritier gravel, unfortuneately their both too big really and I'll have to go buy something else before baseing my marines.

This will eventualy be a little podium style thing for a big magic book I got in that arcane tombs order thing. Unfortunately the book is already open, so I'll have to add some greenstuff scrolls underneath it to make it look right. Lets hope the whole thing dosn't break under the weight of the metal book o.O

This is the one that started the binge. Just a random idea, an Ork Rokkit plowed into the ground but didn't blow up.

These are definatly my favorite, I've allways loved the look of Warpstone (or Wyrdstone if you're playing Mordhiem) and have wanted to paint up some nice ones for a while. I even stuck a cunk of warpstone in the hand of one of my Liche Priests and wanted to work it into their backstory (if anyone saw my Obolisk ;D ) Will eventualy base it, but wanted to paint it right away :P

Gibb! whaddayaknow... nice to see some other work of yours here...
suggestion for the insulationfoam birdbath, sand the inside with fine sanding paper, till it gets smooth...

you can also use fire on such materials, but I think it's a bit too small for that..
My mushrooms >thread here or on the TBMF were made using the same techniques.. give it a shot.. and remember that fire is ALWAYS a modellers best friend :P

your shrooms look nice and athmospheric/goblinny, and I love the rokkit! haha

These little bits and bobs have brightened my day immensely. Always nice to see something other than boards posted on the forums. Not that there is anything wrong with terrain boards, but theirs no variety apart from bugbaitz, wolfscout ewan, and grey deaths. Everybody just does city fights, including myself.

Heh, glad they helped your day :) I'm not sure if I'll ever end up USEING them, but they were/are fun to make :P
