Hola,

Quick question: I know the Space Marine heads are substancially larger than normal human heads, but how do they compare to the Space Marine Scout heads? Do they look disproportional if you stick a bare Space Marine head on a Scout body?

The default scout heads look too big, im sure marine heads wont be too bad.

The scout heads are smaller so it might look a bit odd. IG heads or WFB ones would work better. I used Mordhiem Middenhiemer heads to build Wolf Scouts using the plastics

there is a picture in the new C:SM on page 109 of a ravenguard captain with jump pack, and the head is either a SM scout or a cadian officer, I'm not sure which. either way, it looks fine, so I think you'll be alright.

I've used Scout bodies with Cadian heads for my Storm Troopers, which look pretty sweet, especially the flamer from the Cadian sprue on the right arm, with the Scout combat blade in the other - toasty goodness

It's a Cadian sergeant. I've seen it used for inquisitors before but never for an actual space marine; surprisingly, it works out rather well, despite being just a touch smaller than the regular Marine heads.

I used scout bodies with marine heads for the squad leaders of my Scythes of the Emperor, to show the difference between new recruits and the Tyrannic war vets leading them. You need to trim down the neck of the marines fairly extensively, and then fill the gap with green stuff. The sergeants come out looking a millimetre or two taller than the scouts as the heads tend to be taller and thinner, but I think that's a good thing, as it helps show they're experienced, fully grown marines.

Sorry these pics aren't from a great angle to show them in detail, but at least they show it doesn't look weird:

I also did a deathwatch disruption team using a variety of heads to show different chapter origins:

Front left is a sniper scout with green-stuffed longer hair.
Back left and the leader are normal scout heads.
Back middle is a Cadian sergeant.
Back right is a Bretonnian Knight Errant.

So yes, marine heads on scout bodies can look quite cool. :)

Thanks a lot for the pictures, they were very helpful. The idea is to give all my Scouts rebreather heads, and as soon as the lower face is hidden I don't think their dome size will give away the swap. Cheers!
