People of Warseer I bid you good day. Long has my absence been from this place, as I defected to another board lured by the promise of banter and off-topic madness. Though this proved to be so, all the unruly posting detracted slightly from the key elements of nice pictures and encouraging comments. So lock up your daughters, Dave has returned!

Okay, introduction out the way, now to business. I'm not gonna beat about the bush here, I'm starting this log for 3 real reasons.

1) To show off my scratch built and heavily converted models. Thats all I'm gonna be putting up here. Nothing straight out the box; all mad conversions or scratch builds. As a result, updates will not be exceptionally frequent, but they will happen every couple of weeks or so.

2) To bring my work to a wider audience than is afforded by my log over on another board. I hope this will allow me to inspire more people and for them to give me input.

3) To try and get some work! Hopefully by posting examples of my work on my own models, I may be able to get a few commissions (which will also be posted here, client permitting). If anyone is interested in having me make them stuff, a simple PM detailing what they're after should suffice to open negotiations.

Anywho, without further ado I give you all the D85-TC Raven Dropship. This is a count as Valkyrie and for anyone who doesn't own an Xbox, it draws heavily from the UNSC D77-TC Pelican Dropship. Enjoy.

So everyone, what do you think of my first creation?

This totally has my attention!

A very nice piece you created there. I like the movable engines. Any more detailing planned?
And, allthough I have kind of an idea, would you mind posting a size comparison pic?

Good luck and have fun!

Cheers
Bart

Trixxy: Yeah dude, that were me. Shots tomorrow night. Mind if I ask who you are in real life?

No photos of the warlord or size comparison pics of the raven yet, they'll come tonight. However, here are a few photos of my PIP Scimitar mini-tanks. These things cout as Salamander scout vehicles in game terms, and are totally scratch built. Enjoy!

Ooh, those are rather good. The hulls could have done with being ever so slightly bigger. I'd definitely try to make the track units longer. I really like anything done with the Predator turret.

The Animus Infernum of the Legio Pheonicia. It needs a bit of repair work and a LOT of painting still to be done. But hey, at least I have a Warlord, eh?

Sheep: Cheers and double cheers mate. Means a lot to be complimented from a tank maestro such as yourself.

Sojourner: I know they may look a little undersized, but they're for use alongside Elysian models, so they look fine then, lol.

Malika: Thanks, but you'll be waiting til about mid December I'm afraid. That good enough for yah?

Sahaal: Same for you bud, and thanks for the compliments.

EmperorsChamp: Cheers dude. You'll be seing a lot more of them!

Right, responses out of the way, who wants some WIP new style Knights? First one is a Paladin, second one is an Errant. Both need a fair bit work.

I demand you repaint the Knight's head red and black. And add an 8-ball logo to the leg. Megas XLR has a lot to answer for! :D

Anyway... How goes the college/uni course thingy?

highmarshaldave
11-11-2008, 22:40
Nae Tim! Nae! That'd be silly!

College is ace as an ace thing! As you can see from the dropship my modeling skillz have increased massively! Wow, lots of exclamation marks. . . lol.

Thanks for the pic. Puts things in perspective. A great model no doubt.
The chimera looks promising judging from the turrets. Keep it up!

Cheers

Raimo: Check my sig mate, it can be done ;)

Tcraigen: Cheers mate, looking forward to getting airbrush on its ass!

Not much in the way of an update, catching up on college work. Maybe get something up later on. Cheers for watching y'all!
