I wont be doing any for the new edition. got tired of it in the last one. Make it yourself, its not hard!

Really? Not that hard? Thank God, now that I know that, just let me get started here....

uh... Im too tired to explain how:p. Must be some guide on the web or something. just google it;). If nobody can find anything, Ill do it... but if not, Im waaaay to lazy:D

EDIT: So, I did a google search myself. I think this would work... I didnt really bother reading it, but I think its what you need. If not, Ill write one myself.http://theminiaturespage.com/workbench/201829/

Easy is one of those relative terms. My brother thinks car repair is easy, I'm lucky to change a tire. I actually tried to make a file for AB, and I quickly found out why I am not in any kind of IT related field. Anyway, if someone does find this kind of thing easy or even challenging/fun then I (and I am sure many others) would be very grateful for the gift :)

it used to be fun (well, something I felt it was worth spending time on;)), but I dont really feel up to it. So, if no one has made something within a month or so, Ill do it (though, I might need a reminder...)

I do all my armies on paper though, so I did never ever do it for myself. I love helping others out, but when it gets too boring, and they have perfectly good alternatives, Ill rather not do it:p

I swear, if nothing within a month, Ill do it:D

It's been done for AB 2.2

18-11-2008, 14:57
I'm asking out of ignorance, but what is the difference between 3.1 and 2.2? If 3.1 is the newer version, but 2.2 is ALWAYS finished first, why was I convinced to purchase 3.1?

19-11-2008, 17:57
It is ver y frustrating. I paid for the new version of AB and it doesn't seem to be any better and the files are always finished for 2.2 first. Lone wolf needs to do something for AB3 because it isn't that great and certainly not worth paying for if you have 2.2

alright, Ill let lonewolf do it then:) (whoever he is)

Post nr. 1,000. Im now chaper master:D

Lone Wolf is the company that make Army Builder. They have absolutely nothing to do with making the data-files for Warhammer or anything else though - those are all fan-made.

Technically speaking, Lone Wolf does not acknowledge 2.2 anymore. That's part of it.

oh, bummer. should have known;)

Hmmm, still no one working in this then?

Couldn't something more robust than Army Builder be made using Microsoft Office (utilizing macros and linked documents)?

It's been done for AB 2.2

This file is only accessable to someone with an account.

I know, I had to sign up to get it. Whether you think it's worth the bother is up to you.

The reason the 2.2 files are always updated faster is becuase 2.2 is easily pirated do to an exploit involving being able to edit how the program reads serial numbers.

So more people have 2.2, so files are made for it. WHich is why there was such a strong push to switch versions.

There is someone working on the 3.1 version at this moment and data files are up on the Lone wolf web site but its far from finished yet

An explanation for some of the problems and delays can be found from one of the Lone Wolf developers here:

Where do you see the data files on the website? Am I just missing something?

20-12-2008, 14:18
Click Files and they should be there somewhere, assuming you have registered/logged in.
