Look for 1/48 or 1/35 M113s on ebay or your local model shop.. Cheaper and easier than using rhinos. Buy one to see if you like the scale next to your figures. My Catachans have 1/48 M113s with chimera turrets on to represent chimeras.

great idea, always wanted to try and incorporate an M113 into my guard army

i say convert / scratch build / hybridize

using a kit never seems to get the right 40k aesthetic...

Hi mate, I took the easy way out and used a 1/35th M113 as a basis for my Brit Guard APC. I'd be interested in seeing a Chimera kit-bashed to look like an 113 tho ..........

Thats a nice model you have got there buddy, althought im still toying with the idea of using the rhino as a base.
The local stores near me that sell kits seem to be putting them out at the same cost of a Rhino might have to try the internet.

looks amazing I love the heavy bolter turret with the ammo boxes at the back. The tracks with visable gears and wheels looks so nice compared to the usual "all hidden" look that GW prefers

Amazing conversion! I like the weathering effect very much;
Regarding M113 look on Rhinos, An easy is to remove both exhaust pipe and frontal vision ports. If you add boxes on the rear to have a more square profil, you should be right in the idea.
