I know this has been posted before, but I was wondering whether anyone else was on the fumbbl java blood bowl website and if anyone would like a game at any time.

For anyone else interested, the link is http://fumbbl.com. If you have problems installing the java client, just send a PM. Its slightly difficult if you don't have a reasonable understanding of computers.

Oh yes, I've been playing on FUMBBL for about 9 months or so. Top quality way to play against people all over the world. I've not played for a couple of months now though - I'll have to sort out a game again soon.

Perhaps we should have a Warseer league? You can organise your own leagues in Unranked.

I was just going to come on here and suggest a Warseer league, and Odin beat me to it.

Java and IRC are all a bit new and mysterious to me at the moment though, may have to spend some time messing with it until I actually know what I'm doing, but in principle I'm very much up for taking part in a league....

I've more or less worked out how to get the thing running from here (http://fumbbl.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index) , if that helps. Not actually tried to play a game online yet, but I now have IRC running and the game itself seems to work from what I can tell messing around with it offline.

I've set up an account, but haven't sorted a team out or anything.

If a WarSeer league is made, count me in!

I am most definately wanting to get in on the Warseer group if we can do this. All I need to do is sort out getting it to work for me...

Ok, I think I may be in business. Now its just a matter of getting it settled and finding an opponant who can walk me through a few games to get me settled in. Looks good and I cant wait. Mayhap, I will keep an eye on this thread tomorrow and try to catch one of you should you be on here so we can set it up.

You do have to download a lot to play.

I've downloaded the java application, a java upgrade thing, and now it's saying i need a chat applet.

This better be worth it! :D

You don't need to download the chat applet, but sometimes using the IRC channel is useful to find games.

I am almost a beginner(only 6 games played) so I am up for a game with any other beginners who have a weak grasp of the rules. The (free!) living rulebook is at http://www.bloodbowl.com.

I've set up a Warseer group just now. If you'd like to join, just send a PM(unless someone has already set a group up)

This is my current starting team: http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=214967

On the other hand, I might just use it for messing around whilst I get used to the game online, and go with something else for the league - Norse are my real-life team, so I might try a new race. Any thoughts on that starting line-up?

Definately get in on this. I finally got it going and found that almost all of the fiddly details are done for you so that it makes you follow the rules. Thus, no accidentally forgetting them. It's great and much fun.

If you check the other fumbbl thread, we're setting up a Warseer Premier League there, and the first post has a load of players from Warseer on. Check it out and PM yorkiebar your nick on here and there and you'll get added to said list, and we can see how many ppl we can get in the Warseer Championship

@drakemaster: In case you haven't found it, the thread is here (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35082). If you want to, drop me a PM on FUMBBL and I'll get you added to The WarSeer League (http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=3507).

Wow this thread is getting a bump and a half.

Please firstly ignore most of the information in the above posts, the system has changed a little. For up to date information, go to the Warseer Blood Bowl League subforum and see tenpole's sticky thread "Getting Started".

Basics: FUMBBL is a constantly developing facility for playing Blood Bowl online through a java client.

Reason for bump: The Warseer league is just about currently between seasons, and so anyone joining now will get immediate games in the semi-open environment. We're also sure that those inexperienced players can get some initial instruction from League members. Albeit a decent grasp of LRB4 rules can only help improve your game.

To express your interest: PM someone who looks prominent in the subforum, or just place a post there somewhere, or come PM us on FUMBBL.

I used to play on Fumbbl under the Jezlad account. But got banned after a fall out with the admin.

I'm playing on there at the moment under an alias account. Can't share which one it is though!

Maybe i'll challenge you with a code name someday?

Its great that you have found fumbbl. It is a lot of fun.

As for a warseer league there are 2 all ready set up.

There is this one

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=4769

and

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=4220

im only in the top one, but afaik they are always looking for new coaches.

There is also a subsection in this forum for people from warseer that play fumbbl, suggest you check it out guys

Get invlolved ppl, it's great fun, especially the WSFA (second link above). Coaches are always needed as older coaches drop out overtime.
