Ok, my question is if the str of the flame attack 7 or 5 when the hydra has all of its starting wounds?

I was reading the book and it says the str of the attack is equal to the number of remaining wounds. Now is that str supposed to add the 2 beastmasters wounds following behind him?

I think I read in an older WD it said str7 breath attack, just want a quick clarification.

Thanks :)

Hydra wounds only.

Isn't the str of the breath attack supose to represent how many heads it has left, as they all add their attcks together?

it's strength 5 and goes down by one strength for each wound it loses (starts with 5 wounds)

It has 7A not S7, that's probably what you remember.

Yeah, he was right in saying that they played it as a S7 breath weapon in the WD battle report against the High Elves when the Dark Elves 7th ed book first came out (they used it to smash a chariot on the 2nd turn if I'm not mistaken...)

It had me very confused as well even after I bought the book... oh well, leave it up to GW to make big mistakes like that in their reports.

Wow, it's a good thing I don't take battle reports as Fact then :D

Gee, fiction that's not even entertaining, let alone educational.
