Both the hero and the disc have a unit strength of one, so would a hero on a disc be considered a skirmisher. If not what would it be considered? This came up in a game that I was playing and couldn't figure it out exactly.

The hero is one, the disk is one, therefore the model is US2. This is specifically covered on p54 on WoC.

Those mounts (Juggernaut, Palanquin and Disc) are Cavalry Mounts, thus the model is US2 and the mount cannot be killed, Arc of Sight is 90degrees frontal.

the chaos mounts are just really fat horses. US2 on all of them.

The disc is more like a flat horse, though...

Now there is an idea for a new disc of Tzeentch...

Old school discs where based on a 20mm base, much smaller then the beasts of a disc they sell now.

The original demonic mount of Tzeentch was actually a "ostridge"/"chicken" thing that was on a calvary base.
