View Full Version : Grand Master's army list - 2250 pts

Hi, I was wondering if this list would make sense for a Knights Chapter fluffy list. Greatwswords count as the foot knights, the Knights are...Knights :D, the flaggelants are the fanatic devotees of the faith, e.t.c.

Also would it be any good tactics wise? The grand master and priest will join the 8 knights unit, the captain will join the greatswords and the wizard will join one of the crossbow units. The flanks will be protected by the steam tank and the knights, while the center of the table will be defended by the flaggelants / greatswords which are hard to break. Pistoliers will be used to defend against surpirses (like night gobbos with fanatics). All the shooty units will likely defend a hill or failing that will try to shoot the fast advancing units of the enemy. That's all :)

Grand Master (General, Sword of Power, Laurels of Victory, Full plate, Shield, Warhorse, Barding) = 240
Warrior Priest (Sword of Might, Heavy Armour, Shield, Warhorse, Barding) = 125
Captain (Battle Standard, Armour of Meteoric Iron, Icon of Magnus) = 125
Battle Wizard (2 x Dispel Scroll) = 115

15 Flagellants = 150
10 Crossbowmen = 80

8 Knights (Champion, Standard, Warbanner) = 241

Great Cannon = 100
5 Outriders (Musician) = 113

If you can cut the points some where it would be good to add 1 greatsword so you can make those crossbowmen detachments. They might not ever act as detachments, but at least they will never cause panic either.

Otherwise the list seems like a nice fluffy yet competitive mix.

Keep in mind that detachments have to be deployed within 3" of the parent unit. That can make it VERY difficult to properly deploy you greatswords
