Ok im confused and hoping you can help me.

People keep posting this

Skink Priest 440: Lvl 2, Engine of the Gods, light armor, diadem of power, dispel scroll
- I think this guy is a must in any list. Even if you have no magic in the rest of your list he can carry your dispel phase with the diadem allowing 7 dispel dice a turn all while mounted on a stubborn terror causing monster.

Now why im confused is can people please explain to me how you get 7 dice from him.

Level 3 wizard - 2 Dispel Dice
Diadem of Power - 2 Dispel Dice
Pool of Magic - 2 Dispel Dice

The guys mistaken, you'll get six a turn assuming you limit yourself to 3 power dice a turn in your phase.

but dosnt a level 2 preist which is is as high a skink can get isnt it and so can only generate 2 dice, does the egine of gods add the extra 1.unless iam very much mistaken ive only just started warhammer iam not 100% sure on the above statement.

I'm sure the engine automatically makes the priest 1 level higher.

Scratch that, Autobot already accounted for the priest being level 3

The engine makes priest as if level +1, for how many dice they can cast with, and generation of dice, but not learning new spells.

So a skink priest can take light armour now? That's new for me. I looks like a good build though.

No, but the ancient stegodon gives the priest a 2+ save anyway.
