I freely acknowledge this is light and ever so slightly not serious.

I DO like the new lizardmen, but I would have difficulty fielding Tiktaq'to. (Come ON guys - tic tac toe? - sheesh)

I guess I'll just have to buy the model (which I like), use him as "counts as" and call him Notzin Kroziz...

Personally, I love the name. Itīs a throwback to the earlier editions, where tongue in cheek names were the norm, and where all kinds of dark, British humour were common in warhammer fantasy.

There used to be an Itzi-Bitzi too, I think he is in some part of the fluff of the new book actually!

He used the Pirhana Blade and had a special ability where he could repeat a brief part of a prophecy and everyone within a certain distance of him would have to take a panic test!

Oh come on.. it's better than Itzi Bitzi and Teeni Huini (sp?)
I kept expecting them to be modelled in polka-dotted two piece bathing suits.

I prefer it to Archaon - DEstroyer of Worlds, Everchosen of Chaos, etc, etc, etc

Makes it so much easier to accept that, its just a model, now relax and take the game as a bit of a laugh

And you have nothing to say about Lord Frickin' Kroak? Really? KROAK? A giant frog called Kroak? :p

In truth I couldn't think of anything coherent to say about kroak.... not that tiktaq'to was particularly coherent...

well tiktaq'to has some charm to the name, and although it isn't a serious name exactly, it does serve better than other names, skull taker is the worst name , he's called skull taker, because he ...takes..(welll I'll let you figure out the second part:p).

Yup, he's mentioned in the new fluff in the Skink Chief section of the book. A nice throwback to an old character. They changed things up a little about him though.

Personally I'm not too fussed about Tiktaq'To's name. We already have Kroak, so you don't get much worse than that.

I kind of like it as well, it gives the model a certain kind of charm i guess. Then again I miss those little cartoon doodles in the rule books from 5th ed.

Teek-taq'too....

Prolong the proncuniation and go all guttural and Aztec instead of reading it as Tic-Tac-Toe and you might realise it's only if you ascribe to reading it as a joke that it becomes a joke.

It's almost as bad as the Ben Dover phenomenon of the 90's...

:wtf:

Speaking of funny/misunderstood names, does anyone else think the name of the Blood god is slightly ... well ... not right?

Khorne? um, you mean "Corn"? ...as in Iowa? I have not been able to explain that to anyone who doesn't already like the game.

Tiktaq'to is a rather bad name, Tetto'Eko in't much better. Tinihuini is just horrible. Lord Kroak on the other hand is fun, just because of the funny pun :)
I didn't think about Khorne's name unitl only a couple of days ago as I have always been pronouncing it in a Swedish way where you can hear the 'e' at the end of the world.
When I found out that Khorne was indeed pronounced as 'corn' in English I lost all respect for him.

Ahhhh so that's how it's pronounced...
LMBO

I've been pronounceing it (ten eh uw in) or something like that...
I kept wondering why people kept saying it was a corny name.

You are pronouncing it right. They changed the name for 6E, thinking that Teeni-Huini was too corny. That change was for the best. If only they had stuck with that philosophy...
