View Full Version : Sprue pics

Hi guys

this might seem a bit strange , but I need pictures of as many different sprues as possible. Or the ok from individuals to use their pics.

Ive decided to make a database that shows you what exactly is on each sprue.

Bear in mind this is very WIP , but I think you get the point.

Also if any of TWF admin spots any mistakes or improvements could they let me know.

Hell yes! I've been somewhat P***ed off with the GW website restructure - removing individual components; thus removing sprue pictures. I wish they would add sprue pics into each boxset's image gallery as they by default have 2 pictures atm: 1 of the painted minis and one of the Box art.

I will be happy to help with this as I buy new box's.

Brilliant idea! I had been wanting to check out components but the GW site is useless

Thanks Delstuart, I was looking for info on how many Elven axes were on those High Elf sprues!

This is a good idea. I used to like knowing exactly what bits were on the sprues so I could visualize what bits would go where...

Excellant idea, its always good to know what bits come on the sprues. I'm always after individual bits and pieces.

Thanks for this man!! I don't have any full sprues anymore, but if I did I'd certainly help you out. This is a gem!

Great idea well executed. Thanks!

Ah, great. GW have this weird idea that if we see what we are buying beforehand then we won't want the models.

I think I have a load of the older edition ones that I downloaded from the GW site a long time ago.

Are you looking strictly for the most recent sprues? For instance, would you not be interested in the old skeleton or empire sprues?

Some of my favourite bits in White dwarf are the articles on the new Ork kits and all the bits in the box set. This will be a fantastic resource should it get going.

Excellent idea. Should move this thread to the general of modelling section, and sticky it.

Genius. Just the other day I was wondering if something like this existed.

I'll do my best to help.

and sticky it.

Problem is, people don't read stickies ;)

It is worthy of stickying, though, once the ball starts rolling.

Great idea, not sure I like it being forum-based though.

Interested in doing something a bit more malleable?

I've been waiting for this stuff for quite some time - now i can judge/see what i'm going to buy from beforehand :p

Thanks for uploading this sutff :)

A really good idea. I agree that the GW site has gone down hill lately and rarely gives you whant you actually want. It would be great to see beforehand exactly what you get when buy something.
