The dice gods must hate me! I was playing with my Tau earlier today and trying to destroy a drednaught with my rail gun. Me and my friend talked about the dice gods and I said it's all luck not the gods. After that I just couldn't get those 2+ roles to destroy his damn drednaught LOL I am now converted into a believer haha I still lost the game but it made it interesting.

That happened to me a lot. We called it 'Anything but a 1' syndrome. Whatever you say will affect dice rolls :p

Yes, yes they do, now prepare the appropriate sacrifices and perhaps you shall regain their favour...

i think they love me (watch my next 5 games i only role ones for everything except morale). I mean iv had 8 destroyers die and all make there WBB's, multiple times in a single game.

Burn a dice out of the set for the rest to see to show them you mean buisness.

Yes, they do. But they hate everybody equally, so that's alright.

A appropriate libation would be adviseable, burning a dice...yes, but I prefer a 2lb hammer myself.

btw, i think we all have bad luck with dice..

i was running a drop troop army and i was having alot of fun with it, good scatters and all.

First tourney i used it in....

1st game every scatter was Off target and 11-12 inches...

2nd game, got 1 unit in 2nd turn, then didnt get anything else till 4th turn and ended on 5th.

So you get an Attila king of "Hunos" award. (Hunos 'cause in spanish sounds as unos that it means ones).

So you know tonight you must start praying to the Dice's Gods, keepers of the fortune and the luck, for your salvation.

And remember Not to use ever more the name of the Dice's Gods in vane.

LOL

Seriously tho, sometimes I wonder if my power armor needs new batteries or what. Maybe ill start practicing before games by trying to roll 1000 1s before we start. XD

LOL burning dice sounds fun but the hammer sounds better!
I'm now a full time worshiper of the dice gods and will never take there name in vain.

I like the idea of burning the dice, but I tend to microwave them to teach them who's boss. It's like my own little torture chamber for misbehaving dice.

I left my dice at the LGS for two weeks. Accidental yes, but they still sucked for me. When I go back this Saturday, if they're still there, I'll see how much they've learned.

Also, you may want to try rinsing your dice. When dice get shook up in your hands all the time, they can collect a lot of oil and grease, which can deteriorate the traction or even slightly warp the dice. Every so often, get all your dice in a jar and give them a thorough rinsing. If it doesn't improve your luck, at least your dice won't feel so grungy.

Casino dice with points so sharp they should have a warning label tend to roll better I have found.

Refer to my sig.

The proper way to deal with dice karma is to say "I need a 2+", and NOT "I need anything but a 1".

The dice gods affect my games too. Normally I have a about dozen game with relatively bad dices (statistically I should have much better rolls), then I get that one game with absurdly good rolls and then I get a game where the opponent gets godly dices. After that the cycle repeats. That's why I love my imperial guard army, I don't have to waste time rolling for armour saves I would fail anyway and when the first 7 lascanons can't hit, at least the 8th might.
