ok, i've never written a list on here before. Me and a friend are having a game tmrw. I'm using Orcs, he's using Dwarfs. 4,000 points with no magic and no magic items (we like those games)
I've changed this list a bit. I did have 5 orc chariots and 4 pump wagons, but after good advice i've changed it to have more war machines :D

I was tempted to take small units of savage orcs, but i'm not sure about them. The eight war machines are going straight for heavy armour dwarfs (ironbreakers, or those king bodyguard dwarfs)

What do you think? Any advice welcome. Thanks :D

I think that this should be fine. however, you have very few fast units, and getting in a flank charge with a unit of Wolf riders to get that +1 bonus at the start of combat if they are bare with spears for that wounding on 4s and -1 AS bonus, I would swap out a unit of 30 Boys with command etc for 4 of these. dwarfs are so hard to break front on, negating that +3 to ranks and getting +1 res is always a good thing.

Yeah, i did originally have 6 units of fast cav in my list, but i dropped them because i thought it would be difficult to flank the dwarfs. (they usually bunch together) I like to combine fast cav with the Waaagh spell, but obviously it isn't an option this time. My other option would be to charge the thunderers or quarrellers head on, but i thought they'd be shot down. (only T3) If there's enough room to be out of their LoS they'd be good hhmmmmm

I really think having the extra fast cav will help you a lot, they will keep his war machines occupied as he does not want to be charged in the flank (which with dwarfs bunching together is all the easier). Also his (warmachine) shooting might be focused on these units for a bit keeping your other units alive a bit better. When he fires on your large blocks, well you can take out his war machines maybe a early as turn 2 and return with your fast cav for rear charges in turn 4-6. The mobility and threat is really an advantage to optimize against Dwarfs so I would advice you do so.

Yeah, you're right. I'm going to go for the 2nd list. Another good reason is lack of space, i've got 9 big units in the first list. I'll have trouble deploying them.
