How many different Biel-Tan armies have you seen or played against (your own counts)

Don't have one, never seen one, don't plan on starting one...I've got my own flavour of Eldar I like to use.

However, I think Biel-Tan does look pretty on the board.

Not sure how to vote...I used a Mech Swordwind force, but it's not Biel-Tan :)

I saw one back during the Baby Blue/Craftworld rules, I run one now, and I've seen one other under the current rules.

Now, are we talking paint scheme or army composition? If we're going by composition, I've seen 2 more.

they were very popular during 3rd ed when it had special rules to use any aspect warriors as troops (6 squads of dark reapers!). Most people played either biel tan or ulthwe. Not always painted as such, but "counts as".

Since 4th ed they vaporized. There are no such thing as craftworld rules anymore.

I used to run Biel-Tan with the last codex but I have only seen one Eldar army that would come close.

ever since the dex got redone ive seen the same lists over and over again.

farseer hq, 20 avengers in serpents, 10 banshee's in serpent, 10 fire dragons in serpent. or something to that style. all seem like sword wind armies to me.

I voted zero.
I know quite a lot of Eldar armies and I have one myself but non of them a true Biel Tan army.
Pure Aspect Warrior armies are a tough thing to field and Eldar can get a lot more powerful by using Harlequins, Falcons and Warlocks, Wraith unit etc.

That said, I am a huge fan of Aspect Warriors of every kind, so in the long run (read: years) Iīll probably have a Biel Tan - style army myself (though a different Craftworld).
Thatīs still way off, sadly.

Back in 3rd edition they were the only Eldar army I ever saw.

Originaly my craftworld was Biel-tan, but now I've changed my colours (I got a load of Ulthwe off a mate so adapted my colours)

Apart from that, no other Biel-tan, 1 Ulthwe (which I bought of the guy) and 1 Ilyden (GW staff member)

My eldar will be a biel tan swordwind, the colors will be the way they are supposed to be, white green etc.

I will however use a limited amount of guardians, but not in my core list. Only as an add on and I also will have a bunch of warlocks.

My friend used to run one in 2nd edition.
I am currently starting my own small Biel Tan army (They look like Biel Tan but play more Ulthwe)

That's OK. You don't need special rules to run Biel-Tan with the recent book. In some ways it's even better.

HQ: Autarch, Avatar
Troops: Dire Avengers
Elite: Howling Banshees, Striking Scorpions, Fire Dragons
Fast: Warp Spiders, Swooping Hawks, Shining Spears
Heavy: Dark Reapers

Season with transports and other non-aspect warrior units you want, and done.

Yeah...it's not that hard to do Biel-tan with the latest Codex: Eldar. It's actually not that hard to do ANY Craftworld with the latest Codex: Eldar.

Count de Monet has it listed pretty well - the inclusion of an Aspect in every FOC slot makes it pretty easy to do.

What rules do you lament the loss of?

1, mine.

HQ1: Avatar
HQ2: Autarch
E1: Banshees in a Serpent
E2: Fire Dragons in a Serpent
E3: Scorpions
T1: Avengers
T2: Pathfinders
FA1: Hawks
FA2: Shining Spears
FA3: Warp Spiders
HS1: Dark Reapers
HS2: Wraithlord

Admittedly it's not very 5th ed effective...

I don't think I've ever seen one to be honest. We have a couple of Eldar players but they have no fixed lists.

a biel-tan army is one with loads of dire avengers as troops, banshees, dragons, scorpions and the like as the other stuff?
