I have a question about a mage standing in a woods, further than 2 inches and throwing magic. To shoot out of the woods you must be within two inches but not to throw magic. To me this seems to give certain mages a very unfair advantage. What is the call?

If within 2" of the edge of the wood, you do not have line of sight out of the woods.
So cannot do anything that requires you to see out of the woods.
Like cast magical missles and spells that require line of sight, or shoot or declare charges at things outside the wood.

Several magic spells dont require line of sight, so can be cast from a position out of line of sight of the enemy, like inside a wood.

It would be a good hiding spot though if you wanted to cast spells like say, the comet of casandora.

I might have to take that into consideration now...

Or if you have the DE item that lets you cast from up to 6" away. Friends favourite trick is mage in woods casting out with magic missiles and the like....

Even better would be to have a building within 6" of the woods, as the familiar can be deployed in the house (for an even bigger LoS and range! :D)
