Looking on the forge world website I found the LAND RAIDER PROMETHEUS convesion kit was 15.65 but the complete kit is 39.15. When you toatl the prices up the LR + the LAND RAIDER PROMETHEUS convesion kit come to 49.90 but the complete kit stays the same at 39.15. WHY?

Because FW's prices make no sense? I just bought the complete kit - it saves a lot of money.

It is also cheaper to buy a battalion box than all of the individual contents separately...

Why would they cost same? They make more money if you buy the complete kit than just conversion kit even if you don't need the Raider. In general buying things in smaller quantity than larger is more expensive overall. Why would this be any different?

It's the same for all of their conversion kits. IIRC some of the Leman Russ complete conversion kits get you a Russ for about a tenner.

Cos you buy the kit from FW, increasing their sales. GW sell their stuff to FW. Everyone goes away happy.

GW sell their stuff to FW

I don't think so as GW is FW's "parent company".

They do. It might be an internal sale, but Gw's manufacturing business certainly do not give it to FW. FW has to operate as a stand alone business.

You don't get the box from FW just the parts in a baggie. Consider buying a sprue only deal from ebay, you get it cheaper because someone ordered a big deal and broke it down. Same deal here the upgrades are really for those who want to convert an existing kit I am fairly sure nine time out of ten the complete kit is sold.

You also (if I remember correctly) don't necessarily get the complete plastic kit with the FW kits, if there are sprues you don't need then they don't include them.
