View Full Version : Wood Elf 2000pts For Tournie (Over 1000pts of Core)

Well yer, over 1000pts of core, was trying for 1500pts but I just ran out of models so it'll have to do. This is just about every model I own, bar another treeman but the rules of the tournie I'm attending with this army limit rares.

Noble, Great Weapon, Hail of Doom Arrow=109pts
He ain't a bad guy to have leading the army, can hang around with the wardancers or the archers. Plus who needs magic defense really.

5 Glade Riders, Musician=129pts
Here mainly because I have the models, used them a couple of times with mixed results.

10 Glade Guard=120pts
10 Glade Guard=120pts

10 Glade Guard=120pts
The shooting contingent, I've played a few times with 3 units, 4 should bring added benefits. I've never had a problem with deploying them as with 30" range they can go in most places and still have a shot.

5 Glade Guard Scouts=85pts
Mainly because I had the points, I've used them quite a lot and they can be real stars.

8 Dryads=96pts

What's not to love for 12pts?

5 Wild Riders=130pts

7 Wardancers, Champion=140pts
7 Wardancers=126pts
Pretty standardish special choices, the wardancers support the treeman while the riders make a nuisance of themselves.

Treeman=285pts
A treeman, two are amazing but 1 should do most things ok, just try to avoid combat unless I have to engage with him, otherwise his mobile terror and strangleroot is very nice.

Not sure exactly the points, but I'm not a fan of the glade guard scouts. If you drop them you should be able to bump the wild riders to 6 and maybe upgrade the noble to a prince. Otherwise it looks solid. Just don't face magic :)
