WAY TO EXPENSIVE $90.00 + Tax for just
5 models, comes to around 20 dollars a model.
Ya I know GW is a rip off but that is kind of
ridiculous, Feel sorry for anyone trying to make
a full unit out of them, anyway this is my point

Yeah, that´s for sure. But if you look around a little, you may be able to get them cheaper. Here, they´re supposed to be 70€, but the owner of the shop I used to buy my stuff at knew he´d never get anyone to buy them at that price, so I got them for 50€. Otherwise, I still might not have any...

Especially if you want your Blood Knight Champion to look like a psychotic circus clown.

The recent price hike on metal really hurted those Blood Knights! The box was 75$ before, now it's 90$, wich is really over the top (just like in the game I guess  ). I'm glad I got them on the cheap before the price increase!

Though you could use Empire or Bretonian knights as a cheaper alternative

Maybe you should switch to a cheaper game. Like Warmachine. A box of 3 cavalry models is $60, so that's only $20 per model... oh wait.

Box of Chaos Knights
Box of Grave Guard

No more expensive than PP equivalents.

Just convert them if you disagree with them so much, it's like you "have" to buy them is it?

blah whatever, what is evident is that they are expensive as hell.

the following however is a great tip;

90$ for 5 metal cavalry models, oh dear...18$ a piece, pricey.
Especially when you consider that they are 20$ a piece when you buy them seperately!

Clearly the box of 5 is a complete rip off and only an idiot would buy it.

Yeah, they're expensive.

Now go compare their price per model to other all-metal cavalry.
- Empire Special Characters - $30 each
- Dark Elf Mounted Characters - $20 each (though the one on Dark Steed is $22)
- Mannfred von Carstein - $30
- Mounted Vampire Lord - $20
- Gorbad Ironclaw - $40 (seriously?)

So Blood Knights are actually right in line with all of the other all-metal cavalry models GW makes. The downside is that GW cavalry, like PP cavalry, is expensive when it's made entirely out of metal.

The metal horses are massive. Whilst they cost more than other Cav I feel i'm getting my moneys worth in metal with them.

Compare Blood Knights to things like Kroxigors then. Roughly the same amount of metal. You need 3 of those. Similarly, if GW were to put out a box of 5 Kroxigor, it'd probably be $90-$100 as well.

In short, it's seeing it all that cash at once that shocks people :p

I just bought some Blood Knights from Chaosorc.com for $72. I thought about using the substitues everyone gushes over, but I really like the GW sculpt better. I played Khador for a while and bought the huge cav guys w/ lances which was about the same price for only 3 models. I feel bad about having spent the money on the PP ones because I never played them. I won't feel bad about the Blood Knights though as they are amazing miniatures. Plus, IF I do, I know someone would want to trade for them or buy them (for less, but still.) Eventually I plan on having a unit 10 strong for BIG games. I know a lot of people don't like them in game terms, but meh. Mmmmm...Blood Knights.

...clearly being bought by enough people to judge by GW's latest accounts.

I tend to agree that the price on Blood Knights is high. When the Canadian and U.S. dollars were at par, they cost $110.00 Canadian. On the lucky side, I got mine from a U.S. discounter for less than half price. Also on the lucky side-- I've hardly ever see anyone else field the models, so my undead army gets to be unique without even having to do conversions.
