View Full Version : Craftworld Yme-Loc symbol, please!

Hi all,

I'm appealing to the combined brain-trust of Warseer. Anyone have a line on a decently hi-res symbol? Trying to make a decal sheet, and I'm stymied for want of a clean symbol.

Thanks in advance!

never seen it myself, but if you really want it you might be able to commission an artist to draw one for you. unless you know of an artist you like, try looking around deviantart for one.

hmm, well you could try getting the symbol off of the old DOW game. I seem to recall they had the icon for Yme-Loc in there, although who knows if it is at all accurate. As for the process of how to, it involves extraction of data in a method a more tech savvy person could relate to you. next step: abduct a tech priest

DOW good idea, extracting it? Why? is "Print Scrn" disabled when you play DOW?

I believe it was in either a white dwarf or a web article a couple of years ago.

The symbol is a flame inside a cup.

The only pic of it I could find is this. (http://users.pandora.be/joril/Yme-Loc_Banner.jpg)

The .dds is in dow2's .sga archives; use corsix's sga reader for dow2 to extract it.

Egfy if the markings on the side could be blown up I think it could be commissioned for a very low cost, even less if you ask for it without ripples Sildani, I don't actually know of any artists that do 40k though...

Cost? Open up Photoshop and use the pen tool, your symbol is done.

Only know that the symbol is on the galaxy maps in the Eldar entry of the 5th edition rule book (more craftworlds than on the Codex map). Can't say at the moment if a high resolution scanner can extract it reasonably good for a decal, but it is a first step for most known craftworlds.

5th Edition Eldar Book has a fairly clear symbol next to the example guardian. It's at the end of the color scheme section under "Other Craftworlds". If I had a scanner working I'd scan it off.

Throw it into photoshop and use the pen tool to get a good crisp outline of it... you're all set.

Guess you mean 4th edition codex, as there is no 5th edition Eldar book.

He's a farseer, he's just thinking ahead. ;P

That's what happens sitting in a small room licking paint... you start to loose it. My mistake, 4th Edition Eldar Codex.

Thanks all, but... um...

I don't have Photoshop. Nobody has a jpeg or anything?

Here's one. Very rushed so it could use a bit of smoothing.

wait hold on that's all you wanted? that simple shape I thought you meant a more detailed one the one Egfy posted.

in that case go ahead and use some thing like photoshop or even ms paint.

Sildani as you have not yet answered my message to you I am assuming a video game screen shot won't work for you. I for get if dow 1 had it or not though.
