These are the first 2 of my new sci-fi range. My demon lord will also be a sci-fi release with bionic options:
Mutant wip.

Great looking minis. Love the wyrm model.

Just curious, is the body for the alien worm a leftover from a trygon scratch-sculpt? Because it just looks so damn familiar...

I was or had made several trygon's in the past with that type of bone structure. This one is new though. ;)

Now that's a mutant head! Highly disturbing...you were right when you said your sci fi stuff is superior to your fantasy! :)

Not too sure how keen I am on that mutant head, it feels a little to wide and flat. The musculature is looking slick though

Well quite a few people seem to dislike that head, sooo... I might chop and make a small head. It has been suggested to make the head small and less mutated looking more like something from the hulk. Problem Is I need to finish this:

A lot of people are waiting for him and I have not even started the jump packs yet. :skull: Might be a while before I get to the mutant, who knows.

Wow... I so wish I could sculpt. Not too fond of the demon lord, mayeb bulk out the joints (especially the neck) and he would look amazing.

Love the implants/stimm packs on mutant, come to think of it, could you pose him beside a space marine or if you have one, a IG Ogryn? Those would be amazing as renegade ogryn.

Good job.

Yeah demon is so far from done. I just now began adding details:

Your never even gonna see those tiny joints and stuff when the whole kit is assembled how you want. Pick your parts, get exactly what you want. ;)

Starting to look great man! I'm not sure if it's the picture but the mutant's right foot (left on the picture) needs a tiny fix, something looks a tiny bit off.

Will the mutant by multi-part by the way?

First one done and out of the way. I'll mold him by the end of the week max. :D

Great work, the wyrm's my favorite. Will all of the options ship with the daemon lord, or will the variants be seperate blisters?

The more I do with that demon the more I decide it's going to be 5 kits with per chosen options, then a set up for ordering bits. So you would be able to page down through and pick the ones you want. Just want a head, get that head, etc. Speaking of him here is the latest:

To be honest, I think going for this many options on the daemon prince goes at the expense of a dramatic pose. He looks like a GI Joe figure now, with moveable limps and head. Too bad, as you really know how to sculpt. It's late in the process, but I think you, as a designer, deciding on a cool pose for us consumers to buy woud be better. Easier for you, better looking model for us.

GW did a great job on the Chaos Spawns though, so perhaps look at those. They don't like like an action figure at all and still have a ton of options.

As for the mutant; great work. I think the front leg is too small, but he really looks mutanty and the detailing is very solid.

Thats so very impressive sculpting mate, i've been seeing your stuff on and off for years now and i can say that you have improved a hell of a lot, I much prefer your new sculpting style to your older anorexic looking nids.

Those axes are great as well.

Cheers

Thanks Sheep, I admire your work quite a bit myself.

As for the pose I do not think mine is any more static than the GW daemon they will be releasing, nor the spawn, I own 50 of them. The problem people keep seeing is the kit as is tacked in place with blue tack. When this thing is cast, posed, and glued, placed with armor options it's going to look great.

I am however sick of making tiny parts that are interchangeable and the ability to turn heads, move arms like a human shoulder, twist the waste, etc. makes for mind numbing sculpting at times.

I'll be doing much more simple sculpts, one piece with different poses from now on. I can sculpt 3 times faster that way so once this one is done and I cast up 4 or 5 options and lay out all the bits I'll wait and see how people react to it. I have a lot of people who love it, and as usual lots who hate everything I do. (I think quite a few people dislike me for some reason :wtf: )

Can be ordered with 2,4,6, or 8 sets of claws. I still have to add that spike stuff to all the holes in my claws, then cut head and tail off.
