That would be a great army to play against. I can't see it not winning a trophy at every tournament it shows up at :)

Respect... looks awesome.. and is actually an army!

That's one of the most awesome things I've ever seen! So he actually plays games with them? That's amazing, what does he count them all as?

Malorian

You can see the list by click the tab at the top.

Some of the count as are extremely iffy (the rabbit counting as a cannon) but given the overall coolness I can't see anyone complaining :)

The Black Templars in 40k have a "Holy Orb of Antioch" grenade ;)

that man needs a medal (and a bank holiday in his name because we need more and because i love the film.)

took me a while to find the rabbit, only to see it was on his neck :D, that would be a reat idea for a varghulf.

This army is played as Empire. He won "Best Army" at the Lone Wolf this past weekend.

The army was really great to see in person at Lonewolf. Sure some of the "counts as" might have been a tad odd and confusing, but I think the extreme coolness level of the army makes up for that.

I love it. I would have done a few counts as things differently, but I am happy to see a very nicely converted and painted army!

If he put that on the table I would concede the game and spend 2 hours admiring each model.

i also saw it in person at lone wolf... incredible! when they asked what army you would want to bring home (for best army) it was an easy decision..
and it only took him a whopping....... wait for it!!.......... 30 days to build and paint!!!

A very nice, well executed theme army. Wow.

Incredible work! Major thumbs up.

However, I would imagine it could be incredibly frustrating to play against as I'd probably have to ask what every single unit was at least 3 times. Great conversions but I don't see the necessity in actually fielding it. I guess he tracks wounds with dice next to the gigantic bases? It's not as if he can remove models, right?

My cousin has seen Tom Baker as the Doctor converted to the Nightbringer in a Necron Army.

Awesome!

That said, I think a Bretonnian army would be the more fluffier choice, though I can see the Empire list providing more options for the counts as.

I feel he was missing a trick for the artillery pieces by leaving out the catapault and cow and the opportunity that would provide to shout "fetchez la vach!" before firing each turn. That minor issue aside however, this is easily the most brilliant army theme I've ever seen, to the creator; I stand in awe of you sir.

Pretty damn cool, but I agree about the cow launcher. Where is it? :p

My guess would be that some of them are Bretonnian men-at-arms or command models, with the heads from the Bretonnian knights set (using the plainer looking helmets).

Daleran
11-03-2009, 20:25
they looked to me like high elf archer lower bodies with KotR upper bodies.

Lord Dan
11-03-2009, 20:31
You got it, Daleran. Knight torsos, arms, and errant knight helmets. HE archer legs.

EDIT: And for the record, the "drummer" is off the man-at-arms sprue, and the clapping prisoner is from the Warmachine range.

Nicely done.

I can't remember her name, but a regular GT attendee in the early Seattle days built the same army and won best army at either the 98 or 99 Seattle GT.

I liked hers simply because it was the first of its kind I'd seen and was carried through to completion (knights on foot with coconuts made from green stuff etc) but this one is better painted.

I'll try to dig up pictures of that as well as my buddy's "Army of Darkness- The Good Guys." Also an empire army with Ash in his car with scratch-built blades on the front counting as a steam tank.

Oooooh WOW !!

Nice conversions, terrific theme, and a really good paint job on top of it !!

I *love* this army :D

And, added bonus, that same movie will be on TV tonight on Arte ... a bit useless for non-europeans, but I'll be (once more) glued to my boobtube to (rerere)watch this masterpiece
