Is the Dwarf army box gone? I looked at their website today to see if I could get it but it seems to have disapeared. If anyone has a US link that could possibly bring me to somewhere to buy one that would be great. Thanks in advance.

I think the army deal is long sold out.

But don't they restock or is it a one time deal?

They re-stock, eventually.

Hm...I doubt they'll restock in time to get one for christmas...So:

How well would the old warriors mix wit the new ones? Say if I wanted to bulk out the 24 Warriors the new box comes with, would they still look good with some of the older miniatures?

Thanks for any responses.

The differences will be too apparent IMO. I say don't. It'll probably look like crap. GW have released something else instead, which gives you the same amount of plastics although I don't think there's much bargain in it anymore.

I guess it is matter of opinion. Right now I'm only planning on buying a small amount of the new Dwarf stuff to just have it--not to replace anything. I think the old models look good, and I think they will look fine with the new stuff, but we'll see when we actually get them together.

Hi

They re-stock, eventually.

AFAIK, the Army Boxes are not restocked, they have a limited production run (including one or more limited ed. minis) and when they are gone, they are gone.

Greetings

It'd be a smart business move to re-stock something that sold that well.

Sounds like some GW suits decided to "save money". If they sold all of the previous run of the item and don't do any more, GW saves money!!:wtf:

Well, see, it's um, it's um this way.......If they don't make any more to sell, the labor cost won't be as high and they won't use up their supply of raw plastic as quickly. That saves money:rolleyes: Then there's the cost of restocking their stores and mailorder/webstore.:wtf:

They will not be restocking. They said so.

GW have said all along that the army deal would be a one run only. They have never gone back on this so far. I don't see them doing it now, even if the box did sell well. There argument will be that they can make more money out of people buying the items seperately than in the box. So the army deal is therefore, for GW, not the best option financially.

In my experience, the army deals are not really "deals", but more just an opportunity to get a bundle of models and a book early.

If you really want a deal, stick with batallion boxes. THe TK box alone is a 50 dollar savings.
