I initially had my opinion posted but then I realized that it could influence the poll results, so I cut it out. If you prefer a different Leman Russ variant, choose the Leman Russ Vanquisher; Consider the poll choice to be Leman Russ of any variant. In case you haven't noticed, this is my first time making a poll.

I'll vote for the Vanquisher since the Demolisher isn't on there. ;)

The new guard codex will be brutal. Any half decent player should be very, very poweful with this codex with the right combo of units and orders.

Heavy weapons teams. They may not be as killy as the Vendetta, but they're Scoring and they fit in my army case.

I voted Vanquisher but actually I love Lascannons team with sharpshooters.

What about that new hellhound varient that has a multi-metal instead of the flamer?

Have I missed something? Is the Guard codex out already? Or is this poll based upon rumour and what the expected capabilities of things are? I will wait until I see and play a couple of games against Guard before judging anything they may or may not have.

That would be my guess aswell, that Fusion Cannon is probably quite good at it, and probably better than a Multi-melta too, since you can take those as hull mounted weapon options.

The new Guard codex is in some stores.

The heavy weapon teams... troops, orders, and more wounds to each gun. Better than they used to be = win win in my book.

Hate to break in with the obvious here - but it is the Deathstrike missile.

Well lets just say any of these can really turn any tank into a smoldering pile of *insert material here* on the right roll.

So I picked the Vendetta since its a mobile/skimming apc, reasonably tough for a skimmer, packs a good amount of AT punch, and fair point cost model that looks insanely cool.

Not really, if your lucky to even get the thing to shoot before turn 4.

Deathstrike missile is one-shot-weapon.I prefer shooting 4-5 times with Lascannons per game that shooting only for once with a deathstrike.

Too bad the Deathstrike can only ever cause one hit. It's S10+2d6 (pick highest) against side armor and +1 to damage roll, but you can only shoot it once and only ever hit one vehicle at full strength.

Now if only it were Strength D...

hit one vehicle at full strength

It has been mentioned at the rumor thread that all vehicles under the blast are hit with full strenght(10).
