http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codex_(Warhammer_40,000)

the oldest untouched codex is Space Wolves (April 2000) followed by Necrons (July 2002). Dark Eldar have the oldest model range, as it dates back into the second edition (their book is also second edition, but slightly cleaned up to fit into 3rd) .

and the big board says X

Dark eldar are 3rd edition, they had a 2nd print of there 3rd edition book after space wolves but before necrons. It says 2nd edition on it due to the 2nd printing. Dark eldar were made for 3rd edition and have nothing to do with 2nd edition i'm afraid.

Actually, it was not your fault, as the website automatically wrote the url-tags wrong. So I had to manually correct it.
