Any idea where to look for a high quality Warhammer map that can be framed and hang on wall, if such a thing exist? Couldn't get that even in Warhammer World.

There was a poster version map of the WH world, it looks not too bad framed on a wall. It came free with a WD (has a picture of the white dwarf on the back). Couldn't tell you what WD it came with, but I just checked mine and it has Product Code: 6044019934 on the bottom. Maybe the mail order guys ould track it down for you....

Best I can do sorry.

Thanks Mouldsta. I do have the poster map of the WH world which came with a early issue of WD many many years ago, if we are refering to the same map. I like that map very much but the fold lines are a disaster.

A big world map was given away with WD 300. To bad I don't have that issue, I'd like to have that map!

Yep, there was a very nice map back in the WD 300. Actually, that is the last issue that I have bothered to buy.

Yes, WD300 was a fantastic issue... I still have a copy unopened somewhere. I have seen copies of the warhammer map (and excellent Horus Heresy Poster that also came with the issue) on sale on eBay for about 10.

Is the warhammer map on the other side of the HH poster?

There needs to a professionally made large format/poster map of warhammer, with all the nerdage and people with gaming rooms etc. that would be a top priority for Black Library IMO.

How bout this, nice detailed map with frame to hang it with made of thick poster board with peg holes you can place removable plastic flags and it can dub as a campaign tool. Perhaps even make it a topological style of 3-D map.

15 seconds to think of that. I should work for GW.

You haven't missed much. The new release of 40K, and some of the Ogre Kingdoms stuff from around that time, and later on some Apocalypse. That's about it.

They did one many years ago. It didn't sell and they ended up giving it away in stores. That was a long time ago.

I don't think so. I believe there were two posters with that issue. The back of the map had a larger version of the magazine cover if i remember correctly!

And I thought I remember they did produce a Warhammer map, but just couldn't find it anywhere on the web, which eventually prompted me to start this thread. I hope they can reproduce one, best if in foil with metallic ink, just like this one: http://www.allposters.com/-sp/-Posters_i417778_.htm

Here is an online map that you can download to your own PC and then take to a printer and have them expand to print for you if you want.

Thanks for the links. Let's hope GW will release a high quality map worthy of framing and hanging in near future.

If you are looking for more maps here is a link that I use when I run WFRP. They come in quite handy.

I picked up a copy of the full colour map with the sort of 3D towns and stuff on from Gamesday back in 1997. It was also in stores at that time as a campaign map (although the store ones had a grid printed on) and it was also on the cover of the WFRP1 Gamesmasters screen. That was a good one to put on the wall.

The WD300 map showed more of the world and was also very very good.

Hey guys,

If you want a really large Warhammer map, take a look at the Super Huge Detailed Map of the Warhammer Old World i've been working on.

This map is HUGE! Its roughly 16,000 pixels wide by 16,000 pixels tall. It includes, with incredible detail, all provinces of The Empire, Bretonnia, Estalia, Tilea, The Border Princes, Norsca, Troll Country, The Dark Lands, The Worlds Edge Mountains, Albion, The Badlands, Araby and more. This mega map was melded together by hours of photoshoping by Gitzman and is a compilation of all available maps into a single continuous, high detail map.

It is available for download and in Google Maps at Gitzmans Gallery: http://www.GitzmansGallery.com
Please enjoy,

Gitzman

I've got that as a poster. Is that the one hereticdave (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3425986&postcount=8) was talking about?

That was a good one to put on the wall.It first appeared as part of the GM's Screen for WFRP. It's one of the few examples of WFRP material being reused in mainstream Warhammer*.

*Since WFRP was revived, anyway. Early Warhammer stuff was more closely integrated, seeing as they were all Design Studio products and WFRP pretty much created the Old World setting.
