Hey all, I have been converting little things for a while now and decided to start a thread. With the upcoming guard codex there will be many conversion opportunities!

Here is some of my work:

Some closer shots:
Here we have (Clockwise from upper left) an Inquisitor, the Master of Ordinance (WIP), A Sergeant with a big chainsaw instead of an arm, and Kage, who will probably become a sarge in the next edition.

Here is an Autocannon gunner, two demo charges, Schaeffer (Sr Officer), A guardian turned avenger exarch and a guardian turned Autarch

Some tank conversions: Hunter Killer missile for the sentinel and a converted demolisher turret.

A Scratchbuilt hellhound

I am currently working on some Eldar stuff, and will probably have more info in a few days.

Feel free to comment!

Well, now it is time to show my biggest conversions yet: I will be making a Jetbike Seer council for my friend. These are some models I have that I will be testing with. The one on the left is a Farseer with a spear. They will both have cloaks and I will be working on the helmets some more, as seers have cool ones. These are very early WIP so they still look mainly jetbikey. The weapons and the farseer's body are from the dire avenger box, and the heads are normal guardians.

What do you think?

I have worked on the cloaks for the seers. These are the second time I have done them, as I just hated the first.

The rune on the farseer's bike will probably get removed; it was just extra GS I made.

Nice looking stuff!

Can we get a rear shot of your Master of Ordinance? I want to get an idea for how to do my own without dropping 17 bucks for the 3. =)

Thanks!

Here he is:

This guy has a vox backback with all the antennas and speakers cut off. On his back are one of the "struts" from the dozer blade and the hunter-killer missile launch rail. On top of the strut is the large antenna from the tank sprue as well. I used a lot of tank stuff, as this guy is representing a tank squad and has a beasty vox set. The final antenna is the shovel handle from that sprue.
For the hand I took a lasgun hand and cut off everything below the elbow. I then added the forearm of the grenade arm. The cable (needs work) is from a flamethrower.

Thanks for your interest!

I like the hellhound, noobzor, but really think it'd look a lot better without the corrugated cardboard. If you''re trying to add detail, there are a couple of alternatives that may work better. Diamond-plate paneling is a cheap and easy way to accomplish that, and i think it'd look right at home with your urban color scheme.

Another idea is to rip up some cheesecloth or other textured fabric, soak it in glue, and then drape it across sections of the vehicle as camo-netting.

Take that second suggestion with a pinch of salt, as realistically the camo-netting would catch on fire from the flame thrower.

And if all else fails, just glue a bunch of stowage bits all over the vehicle.

well, the idea was that it was thrown together with whatever they could find and patched up with whatever, so that is why they have rusty iron metal on the tank. Of course I am a stickler for symmetry which kinda takes away the whole idea :p

If i get around to it I might do the diamond thing.

Well, I have been working on some tanks. Guard tanks. I also have the parts to finish the seer council but I have not started on them yet.

Here is my deathstrike missile. It had an accident so the front is messed up unfortunately.
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq347/noobzor99/CIMG3883.jpg

Here is a WIP leman russ completely made of foam board. I want it to be an Executioner but I cannot make a good cannon.

http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq347/noobzor99/CIMG3891.jpg

And some sort of artillery. I want it to be a colossus but it is too wimpy :p

That's all for now!

Some Eldar updates:

I magnetized my skimmer weapons so I can switch them out if I want. It was easier that gluing the guns on in the first place :D

http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq347/noobzor99/CIMG3972.jpg

And I have started painting my Dire Avengers with my newer scheme. Only a basecoat for the blue today.

http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq347/noobzor99/CIMG3977.jpg

Is anyone even looking at this? If not I see no reason to continue posting.

The eldar look fine, but stop with the cardboard ********, it looks terrible.

Ouch, you don't like my $5 tanks? Ah well. At least someone is watching the thread :D

Yeah, I really have not implemented the sheet metal cardboard well. I might as well just stick with armor plating.

I worked on the Avengers some more- all have been highlighted now. They still need a LOT of work, but it is an important step done.

http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq347/noobzor99/CIMG3981.jpg

And I finally got around to caping my jetbikes.

Hmmm 3 months old article. Does this count as threadomancy?

well, it would normally, but this is a painting/conversion log, and as such can see vast spaces between updates :)

I cannot show more pictures of the bikes as I have given them to a friend as a birthday gift. Sorry :p

here's my seer council. I was planning on bringing them to Adepticon next spring but our team couldn't reunite. Oh well.

http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq347/noobzor99/council.jpg

This is my Prince Yriel (Super Space Pirate Elf). He could use some drybrushing and highlighting but whatever.

http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq347/noobzor99/100_0011.jpg

And this is a Dire Avenger with my new blue scheme. Need a lot of work on the weapon and face areas but it is turning out good.

http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq347/noobzor99/100_0012.jpg

And the first model I have actually based!

Do you have a ceramic tile to paint off? You could really do with adding a little water to your paint dude.

That said, the tanks are not bad-I would cammo net them so you cant see the conversion.

I do not have a tile unfortunately, I need to get one (eventually).

I will be updating this a little more frequently as I will be home for the holidays (aka painting days) and my game club's tourney is coming up fast.

Wow, it's been a year and a half since I updated this!
Being away at college for a good chunk of the year means I don't get much time to game, and even when I'm home I'm generally not in the mood to be converting things :p Also, the cat has taken up permanent residence in the basement, which also happens to be my modeling space. SO MUCH HAIR.

Anyways, to start this massive photodump, I'll post the more mundane stuff I've done:

Last Chancers! From when they weren't bland! That's right, back in the olde codex you could arm a ton of them with demo charges for high-explosive fun, AND deepstrike them in - in up to five one-man subunits (sure they were an easy KP, but still).
Since they are the scum of the galaxy I decided that they had to make the demo charges, rather than receive them from the local munitorium...

http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq347/noobzor99/100_0347.jpg

Next up, slightly more interesting, is a squad of ODSTs from Halo, along with a Master Chief diorama. I started these a looooooooong time ago and haven't really touched them since.

Next up: Ridiculous models! You may have seen them in this (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=308816) thread:
