There are posters up for Warhammer World but no release date. Seen the game but have no idea what it is all about.

If you search through Ralph Horsley's Deviant Art page you'll find the art he did for this game.

He also explains the game briefly too iirc.

reminds me of that other game with orks.
IMO, bar brawling is a fundamental part of the warhammer world. :P

I've seen the posters but nothing more.

I love Ralph's art for the game, and by the looks of it, you can play halflings!

Anyone else amused by the OP?

Looks old school, which cant be a bad thing. Sometimes I miss the less-serious GW of yesteryear...

Might have to plan another trip to WHW as soon as the game is released. Quite a tactical feat to get cheap plane fare from NI and the then the shuttle service from Airport and then taxi to Lenton. All to get a card game. Oh, and have some Bugmans and a good Bugman Burger. And maybe a game or 2!

I think its a board game rather than a card game

Can get flights there and back £3.40 each way! Go go RyanAir! Just have to source B&B and get a friend to come along and play on the tables/sample the beer!

Wasn't there a game called Bugman's Brawl in WD one day? Could this be a boxed version of that?

That reminds me, I've got a game called Gobbo's Banquet, which used the old 4th ed Goblins and Monsters (spider, rat, bat) and where you have to make some kind of stew. Never played it though.

Will probably be the Brew House bash game that was on the GW website for ages (may still be there) but featuring Dwarfs instead of orks

I've just heard the release date will be the 30th may (bloodball weekend)

Is this going to be the much discussed amazing new release that hit the rumours board a couple of weeks back?

£1.50 if you've got the correct change, otherwise it's £1.50 plus whatever you have to buy to break the note.

Bugman himself says 30th May, so we've got a good few weeks yet.

Why would they do that anyway? It would be available only at WHW in the first place, why waste space in the WD for it?

I'm assuming he means the Bloodbowl grand tournament weekend ?

What is this bloodball ?

A good bar room brawl game is always appreciated. We still break out the old Swashbuckler game fairly regularly.

God I wish GW made a big pack of all the old card/board games they used to do. I really miss the likes of Quest/Banquet and their ilk. Anyone remember the 'Skaven ate my babies' thing they did ages ago?

I'm afraid I don't, but it sounds really funny. Got any more details? :D

Too bad it's only going to be available from Bugman's itself. I suspect I would really enjoy this game as it reminds me of the less serious GW from years and years ago. The art work looks great and I love seeing traditional games workshop themes reinterpreted by new artists. Looks like fun and it's nice to see that they can still lighten up a bit.

Goblins in the Pantry was always a fun game but there were other nice games they did - Doom of the Eldar(?sp), Tyranid Attack and my favourite Horus Heresy - a lot of counters in that game. Still have it at home.

Here is the low down straight from the bugmans rule book!

As we all know Bugmans bar is a notorious dwarf drinking hall frequented by all kinds of vice-ridden low-lifes such as brutish trolls, sneaky goblins, larcenous halfling, and even the odd moody elf thats gone off the rails.
The beer is thich and strong and so are the staff - so dont mess about with either of 'em. You'll need a cast-iron stomach and a bladder like a balloon because the bogs haven't been cleaned since..... actually they've never been cleaned at all!

The Aim of the game
Each player is represented by a Dwarf character and a table full of thirsty mates. Your dwarf has to fetch beer and grub for himself and pals - The team that guzzles and scoffs the most come chucking out time wins. It's as easy as that. T rouble is... well, you dont want to know what lies ahead. Oh no

RELEASED ON THE 30TH MAY

This game sounds like a pretty hilarious idea to me, I'm now eagerly awaiting the 30th of May to find out more.

I have a hunch that this game will play sort of like Bloodbowl....will have a tiled board, representing the bar....obstacles will be stuff like tables and chairs scattered over it and moving obstacles in the form of random chars: moody elf, trolls etc....now I think the goal of this game will be to move your dwarf to the bar at one side of the board and then cross him back with the beer to the other side of the board....now ofcourse in the spirit of munchkin you are suppose to win by annoying your fellow players as much as possible and focusing aswell on preventing them from winning....

sounds fun....I'm all for munchkin humour!
