I have just bought some plastic models off my friend, and some of them are painted. What i want to do is changed the paint scheme, so could i have some advice about what is the best way to remove paint from plastic models, or what is best you use.

I always use break fluid.. and just soak em in it for a few days.. Models have been left in there for about a year once and they came out perfectly fine..

Others say simple green type stuff but never tried it.

Mr Muscle. You can leave them soaked in the stuff for days and they don't melt or warp. It tends to lift the paint off as a sort of "skin" rather than dissolve it, but it works well.

Acetone free nail polish remover. Works in few minutes, rather then few days like brake fluid or alkohol, and never damaged a mini with it.

Soak in methalated spirits for 24 hours and attack with a paintbrush.

Wear gloves and a mask, that crap stinks.
