Look OK too. Not overly Tyranidy unlike the plastics conversions.

Just advanced ordered the Nid battleforce (hmmm Carnifex ....) and had a check on the SM bits. The Command sprue, the new Tactical and Assault sprues are finally up on the UK webstore.

Command (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99120101028&orignav=10)
Tactical (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99120101025&orignav=10)
Assault (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99120101008&orignav=10)

Looks like the running leg sprues haven't been recut and the Assaults come with the old leg/torso's as the assault accessory sprue. Not bad for 6 you get 5 jumppacks (previously 1/ea) plus the torso's and the sword/axe/shield/powerfist and a couple of other accessories.

Nothing on the revised devs though. Curiously the 'kneeling' sprue is listed under the SM Command sprue entry???

EIGHT QUID EACH for the leg sprue and the missile launcher sprue!?

*mumble* Why are plastic components so expensive now. It's reaching a point where it's almost cheaper buying the box and chancing putting the sprues you don't want on ebay.

The 6 Tactical accessory sprue looks the best value TT. IIRC the old sprue was 3 and this one has all the special weapons plus M.launcher and other accessories. If you were planning assault marines without buying a box from scratch and utilising old mini's or your bits box the assault sprue with the jump packs isn't too bad a cost. Pitty the running legs haven't been recut onto new frames this sprue is a common one I buy from mailorder for my bits box and SM projects.

The other assault sprues have been recut, they just aren't up to order as bits yet. Surely you must have seen the other recut sprues in pics from various gamesdays over the past few months?!?

As for the kneeling legs sprue, it was orginally intended to be in the Command Squad set (hence the Command Squad Legs Sprue name), but wasn't ready in time to go in the first batches. It should be in later ones though.

its 8 by the way and the sprue is $5 in the US so not that great value, also i wonder what has happened to the other assault marine sprue (the ones with the backpacks and bodies on them: http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?do=Individual&code=99120101034&orignav=300866&ParentID=254832&GameNav=10&ItemNav=302197) plus they haven't shown off the recut tactical sprue: http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?do=Individual&code=99120101025&orignav=300866&ParentID=254791&GameNav=10&ItemNav=302183, trying to make more money it would seem

Forgot GW had actually recut the Assault sprue :D

Looking at it on the US site looks like GW give the option of Assault troops with or without jump packs .. funky... Most likely end up with the backpack section in my bits box overflowing now!

ONe thing at least I can say with the revised assault sprue MORE MELTABOMBS!!!
